Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed My flight to DC was delayed so I called the hotel to let them know I would be arriving late. I was assured my room would be ready. I arrived at the hotel at 1am and there was nobody at the reception desk. I looked around and called out and no response. We waited for quite a long time then some came down an elevator to assist us. We were given our room key and off we went for 3 hours sleep. The room was not the room type we reserved (2 queen beds were reserved). Also, the windows were open in an apparent attempt to rid the room of an awful odor. We returned to the front desk and were told there must have been a mix up and our room type was given away. I inquired about a suite / room upgrade as it is a platinum benefit. It sounded like there was a room but I wasn't going to get it. Since we had to be up at 4:30am we took the room. The next day we were contacted by the hotel staff and moved to a different room. Our first night's stay was also credited. However, the first impression was very negative and unfortunately overshadowed the corrective action. I'll stay at other HI Express and in fact have an upcoming reservation at another HI Express. However, I'm not likely to return to this one. May 17, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hassle booking two rooms with two credit cards Traveled with colleague and booked two rooms on the mobile app. At front desk, wanted to change one room to be under colleague's IHG points, and pay with his credit card, as mobile app does not allow for two room booking under different names. It is always a hassle to change second room to another name and credit card, even though the front desk said it was done. Billing came through under one credit card. IHG needs to fix this booking problem in the app. May 9, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lights Out I had the unfortunate timing to check-in to this establishment with a power outage scheduled but no notice or notification made to me upon arrival or check-in. I was called the day of, about 5 minutes prior and told that the power would go out. Several hours later power was restored but my appreciation for the hotel had not been. The service and follow-up response was less than expected and disappointing to say the least. May 6, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lights Out I was called by the front desk and told the lights would be shut off by the power company about 5 minutes before it happened. Then the next morning I found out that they knew prior to my Sunday check-in that this would happen on Monday but did not bother to report or mention it on the site or upon my arrival. This disruption caused major issues for me with my employer and needless to say I was not happy. In addition, the tub and Jacuzzi fixtures were dysfunctional, the water in the Jacuzzi shot out of the tub and all over my purse and other belongings, then the shower head wasn't connected properly and water just sprayed in every direction. And on top of everything there were loud disturbances in the room(s) on the floor above me until about 1:30 am each night. May 4, 2016
