Great Staff and Hotel in Calhoun

The Holiday Inn Express in Calhoun, GA is a gem! the location, staff and overall hotel experience was one of the best I've had in a long time. I was greeted each time I walked though the door and went I left in the evening. My room was cleaned on time and plenty of towels were provided during the duration of our stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area

Not only was the front check in girl rude but my bedroom was filthy and I didn’t even realize it until the sun came in.. I had driven 9 1/2 hours n was exhausted.. my bed headboard was greasy (lube) and my bedside table was also greasy with a shape of a sex toy.. hallways were hot n floors have not been swept
One and DONE. Many nicer IHG Hotels

The slow saunter to the desk from the lobby to check us in showed us how uninterested they were in being helpful. No greeting, no amenity offered for our status or recognizing our brand loyalty, and it went down from there. We were handed keys to the first room off the lobby where a bus tour group was socializing. My profile and reservation for this location both indicate we want a quiet room, top floor, away from elevator etc. When asking whether there was any room on the top floor available as requested, we got a one word immediate answer: No. The room itself is dim and lamp controls are difficult to find. The room details and the bathroom in particular are dirty. The toilet seat was left up which makes it appear to have been used. The glass shower doors were not clean, and there was the expected by now hair in the shower. The edges of the floor/trim are quite dirty. The shower head showed a buildup of minerals which could have been cleaned. The "white" towels were a shade of yellow. We could not wait to get out of there and we did at 6am. Good luck finding the place too, as it is wedged behind some other hotels and the entrance faces the highway. I am surprised that this location is still operating as a Holiday Inn Express. It should be inspected and reevaluated by IHG.

Nice vlean from. Comfortable bed and pillows. This was my 2nd stay here. Definitely will stay here again. Did not use the breakfast bar. They also had a coffee downstairs and I grabbed it to take upstairs.

Awful, hotel itself was acceptable, staff was not. Front desk girl was asleep when we came in and was very very rude. No one at front desk when we left.

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff and the bed/pillows were very comfortable! Disappointed the ice machine on my floor didn't work and pool was down for maintenance, but things break it's not the fault of the hotel. My experience was still overall great.

I have stayed at this property multiple times with great service. This stay the customer service at check-in was lacking to say the least. No eye contact, was greeted with "Do you have a reservation, what's the name?" After initialing the highlighted lines on my reservation form, a key was slide across the counter to me. Never looking up but as I walked away I did hear a thank you for being a gold member. The book she was reading when I walked in was obviously not on how to provide good customer service.

I booked this room online and tried to cancel it and rebook a handicapped room due to my wife and her 105 year old grandmother needing an accessible room. I called their reservations number and it took 3 tries to get it booked. I was assured it was what I wanted. I hung up and found that it was still not right. I then called the hotel directly. I explained the issue and was told I should have just called them first. I was then again told that it was changed by the clerk and that it was an accessible room. Upon arrival, late in the evening, we found that it was not an accessible room. Being a Saturday night, we were unable to change rooms or hotels. To their credit, they ddi lower the cost of our room but it was an uncomfortable night.
Short stay but so very sweet!

Stayed only one night but the room was great. Super clean and fresh. We loved the bathroom. Spacious and very clean. The employees were friendly and helpful. I absolutely loved the landscaping outside! All of the flowers and bushes were blooming and so beautiful! This property is taken care of very well, inside and out!

Really disappointed with our stay. We have stayed here several times and it has gone downhill. Didn't get the room we requested, one elevator Didn't work, toilet broke down, bed was not done neatly, looked like someone had slept in it. Not going back

I have stayed at many Holiday Inn express across the country and this hotel is by far the cleanest best maintained Holiday Inn I have been to. The staff are friendly and available to help with whatever you need. Our room was immaculate and the bed very comfortable. Not a single thing was out of place. I don’t usually write reviews but I had to give a shout out to the staff at this hotel. Great Job!
