Bathroom was not clean! Pubic hair on toilet, no soap, floor dirty

The room and hallway had evident wear and tear. The room was not particularly clean, but not overly dirty. Mostly a clogged A/C filter and a carpet that had not been well vacuumed. Lots of wear and tear on the walls and door.
I managed to fix the A/C before the maintenance guy showed up, but in fairness, he did show up and the staff was helpful. I give the staff high marks.
Given what I paid for the room I was very disappointed in the value received.

Always good when you find good hotel while traveling with your family. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Kids had fun in heated pool that was a plus.

Shower Problems

We usually have no problems with any of the Holiday Inn's we have stayed at. We have even stayed here before and had no issues. However, this time was different. The shower/bath handle broke and we could not turn on the shower and we could not turn the water off. We notified the front desk within a few minutes of discovering the issue. It took around 20-30 minutes for maintenance to show (they were very friendly). It took them well over an hour, almost two, to fix the issue. I believe it was the owner who came in, but he offered us another room so that we could shower and leave. We were given the room right beside ours. We moved all our stuff in and soon discovered the water didn't work in that one due to them working on the other one and had cut off the water. We had to wait another 20 or so minutes for the water to start working in our new room. It was quite the mess and inconvenience. The only reason I put 4 stars was because the staff from beginning to end were wonderful. I didn't demand a refund or anything of that nature, but as we were leaving, the owner(?) said we would get an additional 2000 points for our stay because of our troubles. I thanked him and we left. It has been almost a month and still no additional points. Oh well.

Room was dirty. Air conditioner had a coke/coffee stain. Bathroom was dirty. Bagels at breakfast had mold on them. Absolutely disgusting.

The room needs repair on wall by window, the patching of baseboard in bathroom was shoddy work. TV reception was poor, no signal. The landscaping at the front was unkempt, full of weeds.
