La Vieille Charité

"La Vieille Charité", was designed by Pierre Puget. Begun in 1671, it was completed in 1745, its function was to house the poorest of Marseille. The building has 4 wings that open, cloister-like, unto the inside courtyard, with a Baroque style chapel. It was classified as a historic monument in 1951 and has been recently restored.
