Memory and Human Rights Museum

La Moneda Palace

La Moneda Palace is the seat of Chilean government. The President of the Republic and the most important ministries operate there. You can register on the official site and access to guided tours Monday through Friday between 9 am and 5 pm. A must-see is the guard changing ceremony, which takes place every two days, at 10 am on weekdays and 11 on weekends, in Plaza de la Constitution. METRO STATION: La Moneda, L1.

Plaza de Armas

Plaza de Armas was built as the center of the city at the time of its founding in 1541, and today is one of its most important cultural spaces. Chilean Pre-Columbian Art Museum

Santa Lucía Hill

Originally called " Huelén " , this hill was the founding place of Santiago city. The Spanish conqueror Pedro de Valdivia gave it its current name. In the 19th century it acquired theesge of urban park that bears today, after a hard work of landscaping and construction. Open Monday to Sunday from 9 to 18 hours. Admission is free.
