Waste & sustainability programs

Through its “A Means for Good” platform, SOUMA Hotel Lima partners with specialized organizations to manage waste responsibly and reduce its environmental impact.

Sinba

Since the beginning of our operations, we have partnered with Sinba, a Peruvian circular economy company that transforms waste into opportunity. Sinba ensures that organic waste is properly separated and repurposed into compost, animal feed, or other reusable materials.

Through this partnership, we have:

  • Responsibly managed over 436,000 kg of waste.
  • Prevented the emission of 552 tons of CO₂, equivalent to planting 9,114 trees.
  • Saved more than 62,000 gallons of gasoline, contributing to cleaner air.

By reducing the waste sent to landfills and supporting a circular and inclusive system, we’re creating a positive impact that goes beyond our hotel—embracing a more conscious and regenerative approach to hospitality.

Rijhopool

Rijhopool collects used cooking oil, which is transformed into biofuel and industrial inputs.

Caresny

Caresny manages hazardous waste—such as paint, solvents, batteries, and biological materials—ensuring safe and compliant disposal through secure landfill systems.

Recíclame

Recíclame handles the recycling of glass bottles, turning them into new containers.

Educational partnerships
