Not worth the price

We stayed here this past weekend for a wedding. We were supposed to get the wedding block rate, but we did not. The manager was no help and did not care at all. My son got the correct rate for his room. I spoke to the manager about it and she basically said that it was too bad, but that was the rate I had to pay. So I was charged $200 more because they screwed up and wouldn't fix it.
I do know that for the wedding block, at least 2 people's rooms were given away, so when they got there, they had to find another hotel.
What we paid is much more than it was worth, considering they have no amenities. There was no pool, no breakfast, and not even an ice machine. There are refrigerators in the rooms that have ice makers. But the ice machine in ours was not on when we arrived, and it took so long for it to make ice that we had to buy ice to put in the freezer.
Other than that, the room was clean and we had no other issues.

On checking in for a rewards night desk attendant had a rude attitude . Checking out in morning I got a $0 receipt. Got home & looked at charge card that I used for incidentals & had $29.94 charge, called & was told they would refund that. It was due to having to process through IHG program & she had an attitude. I had travelled all the way from AZ staying on rewards nights & this is the ONLY hotel that I can say had any problem. Will not stay at Candlewood ever again.

Sadly, this was not a good experience. For a motel that is only 7 weeks old, it looked very rough. It is not going to hold up long. There were dogs barking all night long. I had to clean the sink because it had dried toothpaste in it. Hallway floors were not clean, the one and only luggage cart had not been cleaned at all. The coffee pot was out of order. Very poor start. The bed felt like we were sleeping on a piece of plywood. Won’t be back and can’t recommend it.
