My wife and I along with our grandson stayed here for his graduation trip. His first trip to NYC and our third. We were all very satisfied with this hotel and can recommend it very highly. The entire hotel staff was exceptional. 5 Star Hotel!
Noisy Hotel / Poor Customer Services / Lift Access

With the noise from the ice machine, the neighbouring rooms and doors banging our two nights there were full of interruptions late in the evening and early mornings. The heating / cooling system was stuck on a very hot temperature which despite twice asking hotel staff for attention to the matter was not resolved.
It was surprising in a post covid world that there were no services available in the hotel with restaurant / bar closed
Finally for a hotel with the number of rooms the number of elevators didn't match the needs and regularly waited five minutes for a lift up or down and when it came it was often full.

Great view of the city, but even on the 35th floor you can’t escape the noise. Walls are paper thin and the people in the next room were I incredibly loud and kept waking me up. No restaurant on site because of COVID, but plenty of options within walking distance. Front desk staff was extremely kind and friendly.

Excellent experience. The survey needs not applicable as a response. My response on food and beverage is in the middle because I never used it and therefore could not respond and read it. That is not good survey design

Usually dont give 5stars. But that is the way the rating came up on this review.
Cant find any reason to give a lower rating...and I try. I expect everything to go efficiently, be clean, and staff to be courteous and helpful. They nailed it. I can downgrade because it was not my favorite location in NYC, And picking the location is on ME, but it worked out great.

The staff at this hotel was top notch. We arrived early and they were able to get us into a room very quickly. They also made arrangements to get us to the airport in a timely manner. They were very knowledgeable about the area and made us feel welcome.
Basic NYC room but be prepared to wait hours for elevators

Having 2 elevators for 36 floors, even in NYC, is absolutely ridiculous. We spent hours waiting for the elevator from the 33rd floor and half the time it showed up completely full. We ended up walking down several times.
The staff uses the elevator extensively which makes it even worse. Instead of having a service elevator, they use the regular one and use their keys to turn it into an express elevator that skips all of the floors where guests are waiting to board. I know they do this because we were on the elevator with several staff members when they did this.
The staff was unprofessional, rude, and generally unhelpful most of our stay.
I didn’t expect much with it being an NYC hotel. The rooms were basic and adequate. The restaurant was closed.

I read the reviews and thought how bad can it be?! Well it was horrible! By no means was I expecting anything great but homeless people sleeping on hotel benches with pants down was not what I was expecting. No restaurant. No room cleaning. Asked for more towels never got. Not even a washcloth in the room. Ice maker went off all night outside of room and it was loud and obnoxious it’s New York I wasn’t expecting peace and quiet still

WE had an amazing time here! We were visiting to see shows and this location is close enough to walk to every theatre on Broadway! We arrived early and to my surprise my room was ready! Front desk was so friendly! Rooms are small but this is New York and this is a value hotel so i cant complain....my daughter and I made it work for the week! As you get closer to the weekend when the city is busiest plan some time ahead to wait for the elevators. During the week it was a piece of cake but on Saturday we waited 15 minutes at one point for the elevator and being on the 34th floor we were not gonna take the stairs. My other complaint would be the bathroom doors....sliding doors that don't lock with frosted glass that you can see people's silhouettes as they are in there may be fine for a couple but made it is bit awkward for a teenage daughter staying there with her mother. Also the sliding door does not lay flush against the wall so it leaves a large gap and not the most appealing to be in the bathroom with a gap in the door and the bathroom is directly next to the bed.
I felt completely safe at this hotel inside and out!
All in all this was a wonderful trip and a great property to stay at!

The hotel location is very convenient to shows and museums. Many restaurants in the area to choose from as well. The staff was wonderful and we had a really nice stay.

Excellent location and room as per Holiday Inn standard. The queue at the elevators is always too long and disappointing but the worst thing is that you have to pray the reception to have daily housekeeping and that sometimes is not successful and you stay in the dirt. Covid is only an excuse because you need more cleaning not less; the truth is the hotel wants to save money (but the cost of the room doesn't change. It is time to stop that bad pactice.
