Malecon Simon Bolivar, the city´s waterfront boulevard, is a gate, policed public space stretching 2.5km along the wide Rio Guayas with ponds, playgrouns, gardens, open-air restaurants, museums, a performance space, an IMAX movie theater and a shopping gallery. At the far northern end are good views of the colonial district of Las Peñas and Cerro Santa Ana.

Plaza Lagos is a piazza with different shops, restaurants with a mix of gastronomy to please all paleates and small coffee shops. Open-air, you will find an artifitial lagoon perfect to relax. This is a wonderful spot to visit both during the day and night.

The Parque Histórico is the ideal spot for an open-air activity with family. The experience in the park shows Guayaquils's flora and fauna; and also educates us about the colonial history through the dismantled houses that were re built in place.

The Parque Seminario is a popular spot because of the iguanas that inhabit the place, they love to accompany you while you enjoy the view. In front of the park, you will find the Cathedral of the city, that with its neogothic architecture always surprises the visitors.
