Located at Brandon Municipal Airport is Canada's only museum dedicated solely to preserving the history and artifacts of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) or (The Plan) of 1939-1945. Learn all about this important plan and book a flight in one of several historic airworthy aircraft, including a Tiger Moth, Cornell, Fleet Finch, and Harvard. Step back in time and view aircraft from WWII, as well as vehicles and artifacts from that era.

Built in 1882, this unique museum is housed in the original home of Brandon’s first mayor, Thomas Mayne Daly. As the Wheat City’s Victorian Mansion, it aims to collect, preserve, and promote the history of this era and its surroundings. Customized guided tours are available during regular museum hours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, lasting approximately one to one and a half hours. The museum is conveniently located just 2.1 km from our hotel.

As one of the first art galleries in Canada, the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba (AGSM) is a non-profit public gallery in downtown Brandon, just 3.0 km from our hotel. It is the oldest centre for visual art in Manitoba, offering contemporary exhibitions of regional, national, and international significance, with a focus on Manitoba art. The AGSM highlights the diverse influences, histories, and cultures that shape Brandon and southwestern Manitoba.
