Don't go home without trying the tourist best typical food, and certainly the locals favorite, Mexicali's famous Chinese food. A lesser known favorite are the unique carne asada tacos. If you're feeling thirsty go and try the original "clamato" recipe at "El Acueducto Bar" or experience the characteristic craft beers that are being known as one of the favorite experiences in the city.
If you're planning to travel to Mexicali in the winter don't forget to bring a comfy sweater because the city reaches the 5ºC at night.. On the other hand, if you're around from May to August be prepared to experience the 100ºC and above weather, so be sure to be hydrated at all times but specially bring your bathing suit so you can take a swim in our outdoor pool to stay refreshed.
