Sea Life Sydney Aquarium contains a large variety of Australian aquatic life, displaying more than 700 species comprising more than 13,000 individual fish and other sea and water creatures from most of Australia's water habitats. The aquarium features 14 themed zones including Jurassic Seas, Discovery Rockpool, Shark Walk and the world's largest Great Barrier Reed display. Visitors can encounter animals unique to each habitat including dugongs, sharks, stingrays, penguins and tropical fish.

The world famous Bondi Beach is located in the easter suburbs of Sydney and is one of many surf beaches easily accessible in Sydney. Perhaps best known for swimming and surfing, Bondi Beach is also the start point for some great coastal walks, to Bronte Beach and then on to Coogee Beach. There are some great photo opportunities along these walks and if you ar evisiting Sydney at the right time of the year, it is possible to see the annual whale migration. This beach is patrolled by lifesavers.

Rosehill Gardens Racecourse is owned and operated by the Australian Turf Club. Roshill is considered to be one pf Sydney's premier arcecourse, the other is Royal Randwick Racecourse. Rosehill traditionally holds many events but perhsp the most famous is the Golden Slipper which is one of Australia's premier race events for two year olds. Rosehill Gardens holds horse races for thoroughbred gallopers on a grass surface.

Macquarie University was established in 1964 and is recognised internationally. It consistently ranks in the top two percent of universities in the world and is ranked in the Top 10 in Australia. Macquarie is home to five faculties, the newest being the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The university is leading the way in ground-breaking discoveries. Sydney Olympic Park is a large sporting, cultural, leisure and business precinct and was originally developed to host the 2000 Olympic Games. A wide variety of sports are located in this precinct including swimming, hockey, tennis netball, NRL and AFL football. It is also the major venue in Sydney for both indoor and outdoor concerts. It is also home to the Royal Easter show when the country comes to the city for 10 days of events and activities.

Taronga Zoo is the city zoo of Sydney and it is located on the shores of Sydney Harbour in the suburb of Mosman. The zoo can be accessed by road or via ferry from Circular Quay. The zoo is managed by the Zoological Parks Board of NSW. It is home to over 2,600 animals from 340 species, including animals native to Australia as well as species from other countries. The zoo is also recognised for it breeding programs for endangered species. The zoo offers great views back towards the city of Sydney.

The Lane Cove National Park is a protected national park that is located within metropolitan Sydney. The 372 hectare national park consists of land near the banks of the Lane Cove River, which flows into Sydney Harbour. Activities inside the park include camping, canoeing, mountain biking and hiking on the many tracks and trails throughout the park. Lane Cove National Park adjoins several other national parks to provide challenging walks and hiking from 1 hour to 3 days duration.

Event Cinemas are located within The Macquarie Centre and show all the latest movies and box pffice releases. There are a choice of cinemas including Gold Class. The cinemas ar eloacted within easy access of an extensive food court which provides a great variety of dining options.

Macquarie University Hospital is located on th egrounds of Macquarie University and was Australia's first private not-for-profit teaching hospital on a unversity campus. The hospital is 183 beds and features the very latest technology, much of which is unavailable in other hospitals in Australia. Due to it's location the hospital has access to the best available knoweldge and epxertise.

The Rocks is an urban locality, tourist precinct and historic area of Sydney's city ventre. Located on the southern shore of Sydney Harbour, The Rocks provides visitors with a view of Sydneys historic past from settlement and through the convict era. It is now a thriving precinct with a vast selection of activities including museums, historic walks and sites, pubs, restaurants and entertainment. On a week-end The Rocks Markets are a drawcard for locals and visitors.
