We stay in the area frequently as we have family there. We always chose to stay here because of the cleanness and safety and attentiveness of the staff. The amenities are top notch as we always enjoy the pool area and breakfast.

I am always proud to be an IHG senior member. I love the hotel services under IHG. Every time I check in, I can get a home-like service. Except this time, I was really irritated. I spent a frustrating night in this hotel. I originally booked a two-night stay. I expected to arrive at about midnight on the first day, so I called the hotel in advance and said that I would definitely come and asked the front desk to reserve a room for me.
Part 1
When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that the staff reserved a room for me on the first floor near the breakfast area and near the front desk. I was surprised by the geographical environment of this room (in my IHG account, I always marked my preference as high floors and close to the elevator entrance). The front desk staff said that they were full that night and I arrived too late so the room they arranged could not be changed. I said I understood and accepted it. The front desk staff said that other travelers would check out at noon the next day, and the newly emptied room would be cleaned and I could change the room. The next day I just needed to go to the front desk to request a room change. But I didn't expect that when I walked to the door of the room, I would smell a strong toilet smell, and when I opened the door of the room, the room smelled moldy. I had to open the door of the room and set the air conditioner to 67 degrees in the hope of reducing the musty smell. I was shivering all night and couldn't sleep at all that night.
Part 2
I finally waited until the next day. I went to the front desk at 8-9am to ask for a room change according to the front desk staff on duty last night, but the new female receptionist said: It was she who answered the phone yesterday and arranged the room for me last night, and continued to say "I'm sorry, even if another traveler checks out today, I can't arrange a new room for you." The front desk staff was a pure white person, and I was a pure Chinese. At this moment, I couldn't determine whether this treatment was racial discrimination. I felt despised and treated unfairly. I didn't want to continue the meaningless conversation. I called the IHG customer service headquarters hoping to get help and solve it. The IHG specialist said that he would communicate with the hotel and asked me to wait for the hotel's call. I didn't dare to leave the room and wait for the hotel's notification. But around 12pm, I still didn't receive a call from the hotel, so I called IHG Customer Service Center again to resolve the issue. While I was on the phone with IHG staff, the female front desk staff suddenly opened the door of my room with the hotel key without knocking and getting my permission. I asked: Who are you? What's the matter? She said: Nothing, sorry, I'm the hotel front desk. At that moment, I decided to book a new hotel immediately and move out of the current hotel.

This place was amazing and perfect for me and my family only 17mins from the boardwalk/casinos, beds were amazingly comfortable, the pool was amazing as well as the breakfast options… front desk Ter’ron was extremely kind, helpful, and patient as well as the manager I forgot her name though…. Very good place to stay with your family

The visit was excellent and the rate very reasonable even if you were visiting the casinos it was a short distance. The cleaning was constant and the coffee was good all day and night. The only con was the water from guests leaving pool area was tracked everywhere when they were heading back to other areas, to the elevator. That was the only thing I saw that was a little something but no big deal.
Great place to get away, wonderful breakfast, kind staff, Will be back again!

Everything was lovely and clean. Even though I didn’t use the pool this trip, I love that it’s indoors and has a jacuzzi. I loved the complimentary breakfast! My stay was a peaceful, perfect get away for my honeymoon with my husband. The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful. Especially Terron, he was extremely polite and helpful during our stay, he took great care of us. Thank you!

My friend and I stayed here last weekend. The hotel is.cean, welcoming and updated.
The front desk staff was engaging..All other staff was great too! The room was great. The breakfast was hot, plentiful and delicious! Please tell the staff to keep up the great work. I definitely will be back. I highly recommend .

I loved the hotel. It was modern and beautiful. The staff was amazing. I only had one issue. My room was by the back door and it was extremely loud when opened and closed. It must’ve been broken.

My family wanted to spend a 3-day weekend to a water park. Decide to check out Showboat Island Waterpark but wanted a quieter, calmer, and comfortable place to stay. This Holiday Inn is so ideal for a family of 4. We enjoyed the pool and spa. Room was clean and have the necessities you need. Complimentary breakfast was great, enough to start the day and we had complimentary cookies at check-out.
Great hotel with exceptional staff.
