Things to do
The Perfect Day

Prepare yourself for the day ahead with a classic or European breakfast at Olivera restaurant, or take a leisurely stroll along cobbled Andriyivsky Uzviz to one of the street’s quaint cafés. After fresh pastries and hot coffee, you can embark on a tour of Kyiv’s oldest quarter. Stop to admire the Baroque architecture of iconic St. Andrew’s Church and browse souvenirs at local shops.

In the afternoon, head south to Maidan Nezalezhnosti, an important public square at the heart of the city and home to the 2001 Independence Monument. Soak up the hustle and bustle whilst admiring the square’s impressive architecture and then pay a visit to leafy Mariyinsky Park. Here, you can spend an idyllic few hours exploring the shady avenues and landscaped gardens of riverside Mariyinsky Palace. Once a royal residence, the Baroque building now hosts important national events and ceremonies.

As the sun sets over the city, wander home serenaded by the bells of St. Sophia’s Cathedral. Enjoy cocktails on the roof at b-hush lounge bar, settling in for an evening of music and sophisticated company followed by dinner at Comme Il Faut. If you opt for a night out, ask the concierge to arrange tickets. The National Opera of Ukraine is only 15 minutes' walk away, giving you the opportunity to experience one of Europe’s oldest and most beautiful opera houses.
