Buildings 501,502 and 506 a 58-room two location Hotel. 501 has 24 rooms, Queen-size bed, bath, living area, microwave, refrigerator, sink; made for guests staying less than two weeks. 502 side serves as our extended stay rooms, 19 Queen size, one-bed rooms, kitchen, living areas and bath. Building 506 also for extended stay; 15 rooms two Full size beds, kitchen, living area and bath.
There are two ways to White Sands Missile Range Post. From El-Paso Texas you will use the El-Paso Gate; and from Las Cruces drivers will use the Las Cruces gate. From the El Paso Air port- Take Hwy 54 East 5 miles to Exit # 31 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Turn Left at light. Hwy then Turns into Hwy 213. Continue straight on Hwy 213 for 45 minutes to the El-paso Gate entry. Driver will enter on Headquarters road. Keep straigh about two miles and then you will turn left on Aberdeen Ave. Once on Aberdeen ave you will keep straight about 1/2 mile and hotel well be on the right. Address is 501 Aberdeen IHG Army Hotel. From Las Cruces, NM Travel Hwy 70 East to WSMR exit on to Owen road. Keep straight about 4 miles to Las Cruces Gate. Through Gate keep straight to Aberdeen Ave about 1/2 mile. Turn right onto Aberdeen ave. About 1/2 mile on right is 501 Aberdeen IHG Army Hotel. Plese Note: When traveling from El-Paso Texas the shorter rought will be from El-Paso; do not go to Las Cruces New Mexico; as this will add and additional hour or more to your drive. Always use the El-Paso directions. Only use the Las Cruces directions if you are already in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
IHG Army Hotel White Sands Post has the standard Continental breakfast. Our hours of operation are from 0600 to 0900 weekdays and 7:00 to 10:00 weekends. We have a great breakfast area that is very close to your room if your in buildings 501/502.
Must visit the White Sands National Monument; take a hike through the white sands.
Make sure you have a full tank of gas when leaving El Paso/Las Cruces for the desert. Bring your sunscreen, sunglasses, and plenty of cold water for your trip. Have a great time be safe.
