At approximately 9:40 pm on the night of September 20th, 2023 I was in my room and I heard the door open via keycard. I immediately jumped up and was shocked that someone else had access to my room as I was the only guest staying in that room #409. I immediately called the front desk and told them what happened. The front counter informed me that another guest had initially approached them telling them they thought someone else was in the room but that they had told them no-one was in that room so he came back up and tried to enter the room. I told the front desk that I would like to speak with a manager as I was very concerned and he said one would not be available until the next morning and that they would contact me. I never heard from the manager and as I was there for business I tried to call the hotel on my way to a scheduled event but no-one answered. The only reason I stayed in the hotel that night was because it was a business trip, it was already 10pm and I had already unpacked all of my belongings. I slept with the door double locked, put a chair in front of the door and even opened the closet door so hopefully I would be alerted if someone else accessed the room. I have stayed hundreds if not thousands of nights in hotels and have never had this experience.
