Comfortable bed

Room was nice. There were a few dogs barking that we could hear in the same hall as us. The room came with popcorn to make which was fun
Hotel is close to some local restaurants.

No breakfast even though it was advertised. Turned in key, no one was at desk to ask how our stay was. Not the Staybridge! Location was beautiful!
Made to feel clean instead of being clean

The hotel hallways have a weird odor about them. My room smelled strongly of harsh chemicals the first day & half but after that, the room had an odd odor too. If felt like they were trying to make it feel clean more than a real cleaning. I didn’t feel entirely comfortable in the room because of this. The A/C seemed to be on a motion sensor so at night it would get very warm in the room. The cleaning crew knocked on my door and asked when I was going to leave on the day of checkout before the checkout time lapsed. I wouldn’t go back here again.

This was not worth the money

Full disclosure: The property was under renovation. However, I didn't see what they were doing and there was no construction on my floor.
This place was not worth the money I paid for it. First, the location was HORRIBLE. You have to navigate through a series of other parking lots to get to it, or take a business park boulevard which heads away from most of the places I needed to go. The traffic was horrible. If you needed to make a left turn at any place other than a stop light, good luck.
Second, they didn't do room cleaning. I know it says they do weekly room cleaning, but I was there for 5 days/4 nights and nothing.
The wifi password they gave me didn't work. When I called down, it was like I was stabbing their child. How dare I?! Wifi was slow. It was faster to use my cell service.
Maintenance was lacking, but that might be due to the "renovation". My shower handle was loose. My curtains were off the track. Otherwise, everything else was ok.
The "spa" or hot tub was filthy. At night, when the room was dark but the water lights were on, you could see all the gunk in the water.
I could have stayed at any of the other local hotels for the same or cheaper price and had better service and a better property.

I was in town for a friend’s wedding and needed a hotel close to my office (I normally work remotely from out of state). The location was just right and the room made the week-long stay very easy and comfortable.

The staff were friendly and attentive. I had trouble with the WI-fi and the front desk staff helped me and solved the problem. He was well trained to deal with the system and genuinely pleased to help.
Great for extended business stays

If you are looking for a place to stay for an extended period, this is a great option. It is just far enough from downtown to not be too noisy, without being inconvenient to get where you want to be around the valley.

We have stayed at this location for business many times over the last 4 years. It is nicely tucked away off the highway and in a very quiet location. Many options for food and shopping nearby as well. If you prefer to stay in and cook something yourself each room has a kitchen, fridge, and dishwasher. This location is also remodeling and updating the rooms which is very nice to see. The staff has been great and the rooms have been clean. We will continue to use this location for our business travels.

This was my first stay at a Candlewood Suites. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel and the modern look and feel of the room. I especially like that there is very little carpet in the room (just a patch under the bed) so the room looks very clean. The kitchenette was a little sketchy but since I was there only to sleep, it didn't matter to me. The desk was the right height and plenty spacious. The bathroom is large and well equipped. It probably wouldn't have changed my choice, but it would have been nice if the reservation agent knew and had told me that the hotel was undergoing renovation. Things were still a little torn up and incomplete but it takes time to do these things. The hallways needed a good vacuuming because of the construction dust being tracked from the lobby to each room but again, understandable with active work being done. Overall, I was pleased with my stay.

Candle wood suites in Meridian Idaho is a great location. The semi full kitchen is convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful.
