Edwin Lascelles commissioned the building of Harewood House in the mid-18th century with money his father Henry made. It has been home to the Lascelles family ever since, reflecting the changing tastes and styles of the past 250 years.

The Yorkshire Wolds are low hills in the countries of East Riding of Yorkshire and North Yorkshire. One of nine National trails in England, the Yorkshire Wolds Way is a long-distance footpath that runs the length of the Wolds from the Humber Bridge at Hessle to Filey on the coast. It is managed by the Countryside Commission.
