Must See

Stretch your legs at Kew's Royal Botanic Gardens, a riverside oasis less than four miles from our hotel. You can enjoy city views from the arboretum's treetop walkway or seek out the 18th-century Chinese Pagoda. Even if it's raining, the Victorian Palm House and Princess of Wales Conservatory have tropical plants and flowering orchids to discover. Finish the day with cream tea at the Orangery.

The grand Victorian and Edwardian theatres of the West End, which are only 25 minutes away by tube, are a hotbed for new cutting-edge drama and the most popular family musicals. For something special, try the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare's Globe. It's a recreated Jacobean Theatre with an ornate painted ceiling where you can now enjoy classic plays or candlelit concerts all year round.

If you have a free morning, why not enjoy a leisurely 18 holes? The parkland courses at Ealing Golf Club and Sudbury Golf Club are both within three miles of our hotel, and both welcome non-members during the week. You can get some fresh air or talk business while practising your swing and easily be back in time for that important afternoon meeting.

On a guided tour of Wembley Stadium, three miles from the hotel, you can walk through the Players' Tunnel, visit the Press Room and climb the steps to the Royal Box, with opportunities for some great photos. If you're lucky, there might be an international football match in the evening. Even if not, you can book tickets for major concerts and family entertainment at the neighbouring SSE Arena.

If you want to treat yourself to a day's shopping in London, you can reach Oxford Street from Hanger Lane in about 20 minutes.
