Sample one of the most extensive and valuable collection of sculptures created by the Olmec culture in the ancient city of La Venta between 1000 and 400 a.de C. Brought to the city of Villahermosa by poet Carlos Pellicer Camara to prevent its destruction, the museum was opened in 1958 on the shores of Lake of Illusions where flora and fauna combined with the monumental Olmeca.
