Have stayed here over a few years and hotel rooms were tired laterly. recent refurb across the whole hotel has brought it back to life , rooms (inc bathrooms) are completely refurbed.. room are excellent now. Staff brilliant as per usual.. Will return to stay here more often...

the hotel is idealy placed for Manchester,liverpool,chester and north wales,the room we stayed in had a few security problems but that was just one room and wouldn't effect my decision to stay again

No phone in room, had to go down to bar to order room service at bar, told rooms refurbished, seems forgot phone point
Air conditioning unit not working.
Service at breakfast poor, on both mornings had to ask for items, as none there, such as plates, glasses etc, were not being replenished, no muesli second morning, when asked they had run out.
Cook not behind the counter, when people wanted eggs, queue formed and had to ask waiter to get cook, who took further 2 mins to appear.
Actually like to complain, not what I would expect or have received previously from Holiday Inn

On the whole, a lovely hotel. Checked in early, no issues. Room comfortable and trendy enough. Staff were polite and extra helpful. Only criticism is that the car park exit barrier requires a pass code. This is situated on the front desk but I missed it. Take note of it and your stay should be delightful

We've stayed at Runcorn on at least 5 occasions visiting family. On this occasion we found a layer of dust in a number of places in the room. Now I'm not a great one for dusting being a single male living alone but this level of dust was considerable and there were stains on the window sill where cups had been placed. There was also a dead insect hanging on a thread on the inside of the window.
The problem was brought to the attension of reception,
room cleaned the next day to a high standard, in fact I would say it was spotless!
OK the problem shouldn't have existed but it was addressed as any previous issues we've had quickly.I will be staying there again and will be checking for dust, never seen it on previous vistits.
