The Johnstown Flood Museum tells the story of the 1889 disaster that killed 2,209 people and leveled the city. Housed just minutes away from our hotel in a former Carnegie Library in downtown Johnstown, exhibits include a fiber-optic relief map, flood artifacts, an original Oklahoma survivor's house, and an Academy Award-winning documentary.

About 7.5 miles from downtown, this National Park Service site sits at the ruins of the South Fork Dam, whose failure triggered the 1889 flood. The Lake View Visitor Center has two floors of exhibits, a life-size debris wall, and the film Black Friday. Walking trails lead to the dam's remains. There is no entrance fee.

The Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center is directly across from the hotel and offers 15,000 square feet of flexible event space, including a 10,500-square-foot ballroom that splits into six sections. The Heritage Discovery Center is a five-story former brewery that now houses some of Johnstown's best museum experiences, located about 1.2 miles from the hotel. Highlights include an immersive immigration exhibit, a three-story Iron and Steel Gallery with a film on Johnstown's industrial history, the Johnstown Children's Museum on the third floor, and rotating temporary galleries.
