Johnstown National Flood Memorial

About 7.5 miles from downtown, this National Park Service site sits at the ruins of the South Fork Dam, whose failure triggered the 1889 flood. The Lake View Visitor Center has two floors of exhibits, a life-size debris wall, and the film Black Friday. Walking trails lead to the dam's remains. There is no entrance fee.
