Convenient, clean choice in between SJDC and CSL. Very close to restaurants and shopping. No beach access but several beaches within 10 minutes driving.

This hotel is located just off Hwy 1, with the rear of the hotel facing the ocean dunes. Although not a beach property, there are several public access points along the Highway that afford access. The rooms are moderately large, clean, well appointed with modern furniture, great showers, all in all very much a "European" feel to this hotel. Large screen TVs's with both english and Spanish language programs from a satellite feed keeps you connected, as does the free WIFI, which provides a fast enough internet connection for most WiFi devices, including Skype etc.
The breakfast is presented buffet-style with roomy, comfortable table seating, with plenty of selection and the staff is quick to help you enjoy all they have to offer.
A nice rooftop pool allows you to swim a few laps and sun-bathe when relaxing. Two restaurants below the hotel provide lunch, dinner or a place to have a cold one, or a nice glass of wine with one specific mention which is Kilogram, a smokehouse BBQ restaurant that had the most succulent ribs, BBQ smoked chicken and salmon that I have ever tasted outside of the Deep South! Dan, the owner, will certainly make you feel you are well fed! A real plus as an adjoining restaurant!
For those that want a real workout, there is a fitness club attached as well, and if your wallet needs a refill, a local bank within hotel building with ATM makes exchange to pesos really easy. A definite triple A++ rating for this Holiday Inn Express.

This hotel was in the middle of nowhere. Only 1 restaurant next door with very limited selections. Boring, especially for children.
