Amacalola Falls and State Park

It's easy to see why this is one of Georgia’s most popular state parks. Amicalola, a Cherokee Indian word meaning “tumbling waters,” is an appropriate name for these 729-foot falls ~~ the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. An 8.5-mile approach trail leads from the park to Springer Mountain, the southern end of the famed 2,135-mile Appalachian Trail. However, numerous other trails are available for shorter journeys.

Buford Dam Park

1200 Buford Dam Rd, Cumming, Ga 30041

Buford Dam Park is a fee park and costs $4 per vehicle and $1 for pedestrians. It has a beach with a designated swim area, picnic tables on and near the beach, volleyball and basketball areas, a couple of playgrounds, and picnic shelters/pavilions. Shelters in Buford Dam Park can be rented for $90 per day. Call 770-945-9531 to make reservations. Laurel Ridge Trail (3.8 miles) goes through Buford Dam Park and continues through Powerhouse Park and Lower Overlook.

Cumming Fairgrounds

The Cumming Fairgrounds was established in 1995. In October of 1995 the Cumming Fairgrounds hosted the first 5 day fair in Cumming, and has continued to grow ever since. Now, the Fairgrounds hosts many exciting events such as the IPRA World Championship Rodeo, the annual Steam/Gas Engine Expo, a weekly Farmers Market during the summer, an Indian Festival and Rendezvous, July 4th Celebration, and our premier event The Cumming Country Fair & Festival which has grown from 5 days to an 11 day event.

Lake Lanier

Lake Lanier (officially Lake Sidney Lanier) is a reservoir in the northern portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created by the completion of Buford Dam on the Chattahoochee River in 1956, and is also fed by the waters of the Chestatee River. The lake encompasses 38,000 acres (150 km2) of water, and 692 miles (1,114 km) of shoreline at normal level, a "full summer pool" of 1,071 feet (326 m) above mean sea level.

Lanier National Speedway

5301 Winder Highway, Braselton, Ga 30517

Lanier National Speedway is a 0.375-mile paved oval racetrack just outside of Braselton, Georgia. The track opened in 1982 as a dirt track, and was paved in the mid-1980s. The track is under the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series banner. Lanier Speedway is located just north of the Road Atlanta motor racing circuit on the opposite or northern side of the Winder Highway.

Mall of Georgia is a shopping mall located, 30 miles NE of Atlanta. It is currently the largest shopping mall in the state of Georgia, consisting of more than 200 stores on 3 levels. Road Atlanta

Road Atlanta is a 2.54-mile (4.088 km) road course located just north of Braselton, Georgia, USA. The facility is utilized for a wide variety of events, including professional and amateur sports car and motorcycle races, racing and driving schools, corporate programs and testing for motorsports teams.[1] The track has 12 turns, including the famous "esses" between turns three and five; and Turn 12, a downhill, diving turn.

Verizon Amphitheatre at Encore Park

The Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park is an amphitheatre located in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta. The amphitheatre is meant to hold a variety of entertainment. It opened on May 10th, 2008 by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra followed by the Eagles who had a four night stand there due to demand.

Windermere Golf Club

The center will include 2 indoor pools, one of which will be a 10-lane, Olympic-sized 50-meter competition pool. The second indoor pool will have a therapeutic pool with four lanes that is wheelchair accessible. There also is a spacious dressing area with lockers. Outdoors there is a kiddie play pool plus a lazy river spray and mushroom area surrounded by cabanas. There will also be indoor facilities to host groups, baseball teams, softball teams, birthday parties.
