Poor Mattress

The main reason for a hotel stay is a place to sleep. The mattress in this hotel was the worst of any Holiday Inn I have stayed at. I don't think the old spring mattress has been replaced in many years. It was obvious very little has been invested in the upkeep of the hotel. We did not sleep well and the bed was very uncomfortable! Staff was very pleasant but the accommodation left a lot to be desired.

Especially in the post-pandemic world of underwhelming hotel performance, this hotel stood out. Staff was pleasant; room was good. Breakfast was consistent (even had some gluten-free breads and muffins - thanks!) Coffee always available in lobby. Gym was good.
Printer in business center was down, but they were proactive with a sign and suggestion to e-mail documents to a specified address for printing at the front desk.
What I would change: Need a pair of 10 lb. dumbells in gym!

Clean and convenient for travel near Harrisburg. It was nice for the short time we were there. We generally like the IHG brand.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms, especially the bathroom. The shower was very clean! I appreciated the microwave and mini fridge because I knew I'd be waking up earlier than the complimentary breakfast. I did utilize the fitness center, it was small but the basics were available and I was able to get a good work out in. The only unmodifiable factor that I did not enjoy was the ability to hear other guests if they were loud. This did keep me up (but I am a light sleeper), so I did resort to using a noise maker to get to sleep.

Loved staying at this hotel. Great location, great staff, great atmosphere. The complimentary breakfast was amazing! Room was spacious and loved the separation. Bathroom was amazing!

Convenient location and Dumbbells in the gym made up for slightly dated room. No problems experienced during stay. Staff was friendly.
Extra charges for using towels?!

Outdated, but the bed sheets were clean, as was the bathroom. The room was clean but with obvious wear & tear. There was a sign in the bathroom that stated "Do not use towels to remove makeup, clean up spills, etc or you will be charged extra fees on the back of this sign". Even more absurd, the hotel did not provide free makeup removing towelettes or paper towel in the rooms! I am very disappointed. I was so nervous to use the bathroom, I didn't even shower the next day. I would't stay here unless forced, and you'll need to make prior choices on what to bring with you.

The parking lot is up a hill so be prepared to mini hike. Unload at the door. Bathroom smelled like a sour rag was used to clean it. There was a hair in the tub and the shower head only work on jet mode. Had to wait for the hot water as well. Room is outdated ac/heat unit. Buttons are faded on the elevator which should have been my first sign. Not a great room for the price.

The Holiday Inn in West Mechanicsburg is located conveniently off I-81 *but* in a quiet medical park, so there's very little noise. Staff is responsive, welcoming, first-rate. The rooms, while a little outdated, are furnished with everything you'd need. Breakfast was very well run and had a number of options to choose from. We love this place.

I travel a lot and this is an average hotel. Was very disappointed in the lack of acknowledgment of my status for IHG and the fact that I had a room available, but had to wait 30 minutes to be able to get into my room because no elevators were accessible One elevator was broken for the five days that I was there, and they decided to do a maintenance project on the other elevator, not allowing me to access my room and move my belongings to my room for the week.
