Moab is the only Utah town located on the Colorado River. Start here with one of many tour companies for a fun and exciting rafting experience. There is something for everyone. You can enjoy everything from a half-day, calm-water float to a five-day trip that begins calmly then spills into a whitewater area aptly named Cataract Canyon. River rafting on the Colorado River is an unbeatable way to see the redrock formations from a breathtaking vantage point.

Restrooms, a gift shop and drinking water are available in the Visitor's Center. Entrance Fees: Vehicle $30, on vehicle and all passengers for 7 days. Individual $15, on individual Nat. Parks Pass, America the Beautiful, Nat. Parks and Fed. Rec. Lands Passes are accepted. Advanced reservations required for Timed Entry at Arches National Park.

Canyonlands National Park is normally open year-round, 24 hours a day. Each district has its own visitor center with operating hours that change with the seasons. Some facilities close in winter. Canyonlands is split into four sections by the Green and Colorado rivers' grand canyons. Go to Island in the Sky for sweeping views, The Needles for hiking, The Maze for isolation, or float the rivers - Canyonlands offers a lifetime of adventure.

The Lasal Mountains boost the second largest peak in Utah, Mt. Peale. A variety of aventures are available for your enjoyment: lakes, cross-country skiing, cooler temperatures, camping, hunting, hiking, 4 wheeling, and mountain biking adventures.

Tandem Skydiving is the fastest and easiest way to experience free-fall! After a short class taught by one of their professional USPA (United States Parachuting Association) licensed instructors, you'll be suited up and ready to board the airplane. Reservations are required. You can expect to spend approximately 2 to 4 hours for your skydive depending on the size of the group. No previous experience necessary. Must be 18 years old. Open March 1st to November 15th.

Moab is home to a multitude of 4 x 4 off road trails. There are numerous rental facilities whether you want to Jeep or take the family out in a UTV. Information is available at the front desk.
