Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy access to so many places We had an amazing time at this hotel! We were able to walk to Broadway to see a show, to the restaurants and shops in Times Square, and even to Central Park. If walking is not your thing, there are several subway stations and the Port Authority Bus Terminal just a couple of blocks away. We always enjoy the breakfast at Holiday Inn Express, and this time was no exception. Now we're home, I really miss those cinnamon rolls! The staff at this hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which decreased the stress of how to deal with luggage when we got there before check-in time (they let us check in early) and how to deal with it at the end of our trip (they held it for us while we had one more day of fun before flying home, and arranged for our cab to get us to the airport). The hotel had a diverse group of residents from a variety of different backgrounds and each person was treated as a welcomed guest. The hotel is also LGBT friendly. The rates were affordable and the room was clean. The BIG drawback is that my room did NOT have a fridge or microwave in the room. This really made me upset because I wasted a lot of food every time I went out to eat and couldn't bring my leftovers back to the hotel due to the lack of fridge and microwave accommodations. At least 2 occasions I ordered food and could only eat half of the food but had to throw the leftovers away because my hotel room had no fridge or microwave. The free wi-fi was a good benefit. The elevator seemed to stay pretty busy in the afternoon so I ended up taking the stairs one time because of the long wait for the elevator during the busy use time. No biggie. April 12, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff The staff at this hotel was great, from the front desk checking us in, to the breakfast staff who always had a smile on their face. Our last night there, I had something I needed to put in the fridge, and they accomodated that by using the fridge in the back office :). Location to Times Square was perfect, our view from the top floor was fantastic as well. Downsides: there was a dirty towel in the bathroom, not too big of a deal as I caught it before I used it and just had them replace it the next day, the bathroom lock didn't work, which I forgot to mention to the front desk. The thing that bothered me the most though, was that my Rapid Check Out wasn't slid underneath the door, it was out in the hallway with all my information available for anyone to see. April 9, 2015
