The hotel is typical for a European HIE. It has a good location because it is near to the central station. The main difference for me was the staff. Every employee at this location was friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome during my first visit to Holland. I had the opportunity to meet staff from all shifts because of the nature of my business trip. All of my questions and requests were addressed in a friendly and professional manner.
As a long time Platinum member who travels worldwide, I can honestly say that the staff at this hotel is the best I have experienced at any hotel, regardless of the brand. Please let all of your team know that they are doing a fantastic job!

Excellently situated hotel, close to the Rotterdam Centraal station. Good rooms, breakfast and front staff.
All in sall, a good uneventful stay.

This is a hotel I use regularly when I visit Rotterdam, so I was a little surprised that the booking experience was not so good this time.
As normal, I tried to book through the IHG site (which I do for all my worldwide travel), finding via that route that the hotel was fully booked, which I thought strange. So I contacted the hotel directly by email and was informed that the reason for full booking showing up is that there is a minimum 2 night stay (which would be waived on this occasion as I was a Platinum member), but also as it was a busy time the rate was almost twice that of a normal stay, and the normal rate I have paid previously. A suspicious person would conclude that in fact I had paid for 2 nights!
I wasn't aware beforehand that there could be a minimum stay period and further that prices would be so radically affected by occupation rates- this does not seem to be a policy normally throughout IHG. I did then book directly with the hotel however, as the hotel is convenient and I do find the staff and experience there very good indeed, as was the case again this time. Would like some clarity on the hotel policies however.
