Must See
The ancient fortified city of Mdina sits on a plateau, 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel. Within its walls you can explore winding medieval streets and visit Baroque St. Paul's Cathedral, home to a fascinating museum where you’ll discover Roman relics, sacred art and carvings by Albrecht Durer. Take a break at a terrace table in the Fontanella Tea Garden to enjoy fabulous views across the island.
Must Do
An evening trip to the Three Cities of Birgu, Senglea and Cospicua, a 20-minute drive from the hotel, is not to be missed. The docks of the oldest of this trio of ancient harbour towns, Birgu, date from medieval times. You can take a stroll through the area's narrow streets, home to a host of churches and palaces, before enjoying dinner in a restaurant overlooking the boats in Vittoriosa Marina.

Waterbiscuit
Waterbiscuit offers a gastronomic experience to delight all with a charming and contemporary atmosphere and enthusiastically accomplished cuisine, using the freshest Mediterranean ingredients. Meanwhile, at the Waterbiscuit Bar dining may be enjoyed throughout the day, though ultimately the cocktails enjoy the limelight and each creation seeks to exceed the wildest expectations.

Don't Go Home Without
Half an hour’s taxi ride from the hotel, at the Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal, you can catch a boat to the tiny island of Comino, situated in-between Malta and Gozo. It’s car-free, virtually uninhabited, and the rocky coastline is peppered with caves, but its main attraction is the stunning Blue Lagoon, an idyllic white-sand bay where you can snorkel, swim, or just lie back and bask in the sun.
Smart Tips
If you’re feeling adventurous, it’s easy to explore local attractions on foot. Take a pleasant stroll round St. Julian’s Bay to Sliema, stop off for pastries and coffee, then catch the ferry from Marsamxett Harbour across to Valletta. There you'll discover the open-air market at Merchants Street and more than 300 UNESCO-listed monuments, including ornately decorated St. John’s Co-Cathedral.
