See beautiful exotic butterflies at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory which houses at least 2,000 free-flying tropical butterflies and moths originating from Costa Rica and the Philippines. Watch butterflies emerge from their cocoons and take flight for the first time at the "Emergence Window." The collection conisits of approximately 40 different species. The conservatory also houses many exotic birds which add to the tropical feel with their pleasant songs and bright colours.

African Lion Safari is Canada's Orginal Safari Adventure. Home to over 1,000 exotic birds and animals made up of over 100 different species. Drive your vehicle through the large game reserve and get face to face with all the animals. Learn about eagels, hawks, owls, and more at the "Birds of Prey" flying demonstration. Don't forget to see the elephants display their skills during "Elephant Round Up" and cool off after during "Elephant Swim".

Waterloo Region Museaum features exhibits that explore 12,000 years of Waterloo Region from past to present. The museum is also the entrance to Doon Heritage Village. Set in the year 1914, Doon Heritage Village is living history village showing visitors what life was like.

Two minutes south of the Village of St. Jacobs, explore the abundance of meats & cheeses, farm fresh produce, baked goods, international foods, artisans & crafters, quilts, home furnishings, and a spectacular flea market; plus buskers, pony & kiddie rides at Canada's largest farmers' market! When in the Waterloo / St Jacobs area, take a ride aboard the Waterloo Central Railway. The all volunteer operated railway runs from the City of Waterloo to the Town of St Jacobs with a stop at the St Jacobs Market. Commentary is provided during the 1 hour (round trip) ride through manufacturing, industrial, and farmland areas using vintage railway equipment The train runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, which are conveniently Market days ! Take a step back in time.
