Located through Apache Pass. Built in 1862 to guard Butterfield Overland Trail,and to protect pioneers from Apache raids and skirmishes with Native Americans led by Cochise and Geronimo. The site can only be reached by traveling the last 1.5 miles on foot.

Hike the 17 miles of maintained trails in the chiricahuas. Known by the Apaches as the "The Land of Standing up Rocks" this area grew from tremendous volcanic eruptions 27 million years ago and has been eroded by wind and water ever since.Hiking, camping ,picnicking and bird watching brings visitors from all over the world to this area.The visitor center is open daily.

Visit the museum honoring the people who created the rich heritage of the area.Collections and exhibits of historical artifacts,including a Geronimo Exhibit are part of the museum.

Another favorite hiking area.A granite fortress used by the Chiricahua Apaches under the leadership of Cochise, the famous Chief of the Apaches.It is believed that the hidden tomb of Cochise is located somewhere in the stronghold.Camping,hiking and picnicking in this beautiful area is not only fun,but relaxing.

Dos Cabezas lives among the silent ruins of yesterday. Originally called Ewells Springs, there were 25 houses, a hotel, several saloons, and a school (the first school built in Cochise County). A number of buildings still stand today, some mere skeletons, while others of adobe consruction are fighting a losing battle against the ravages of time.

Contains one of the world's few living wet caves open for viewing.The guided Rotunda/Throne Room Tour takes visitors through rooms that contain more than 30 types of colorful formations growing for more than 200,000 years out of the limstone beneath the Whetstone Mountains.
