Located through Apache Pass. Built in 1862 to guard Butterfield Overland Trail,and to protect pioneers from Apache raids and skirmishes with Native Americans led by Cochise and Geronimo. The site can only be reached by traveling the last 1.5 miles on foot.

Chiricahua National Monument

Dos Cabezas Ghost Town

Dos Cabezas lives among the silent ruins of yesterday. Originally called Ewells Springs, there were 25 houses, a hotel, several saloons, and a school (the first school built in Cochise County). A number of buildings still stand today, some mere skeletons, while others of adobe consruction are fighting a losing battle against the ravages of time.
