The largest wetland in the Balearic Islands, S'Albufera covers over 1,700 hectares of reedbeds, canals, lagoons, and pine groves, a seven-minute drive from the resort. More than 300 bird species have been recorded here. Four marked trails fan out across the park, from a short 30-minute walk to an 11km route suitable for cycling. Entry is free, though a permit from the visitor centre is required.

Enclosed by 14th-century walls that still stand and can be walked, Alcudia Old Town is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Mallorca. Narrow streets wind past Gothic churches, Roman ruins at Pollentia just outside the walls, and a market on Tuesdays and Sundays that draws visitors from across the island. Our hotel near Alcudia Old Town puts all of it within a twenty-minute drive, including the Porta de Mallorca gate, the Church of Sant Jaume, and the Monographic Museum.

Head to Capdepera to explore Capdepera Castle, a medieval fortress with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the Mediterranean Sea. The castle dates back to the 14th century.

While a bit further away in Palma de Mallorca, a visit to La Seu, Palma Cathedral, is highly recommended. This Gothic masterpiece is an iconic symbol of the city and showcases impressive architecture.

Six kilometres of fine white sand, calm turquoise water that stays shallow far from shore, and a Blue Flag every year. Playa de Muro is one of the longest beaches in the Balearic Islands and consistently among the best-rated in Spain. The long wooden jetty into the bay is a landmark on its own, and the S'Albufera Nature Reserve borders the beach to the south. Staying at our hotel near Playa de Muro Beach means this stretch of coastline is just a seven-minute drive.

The beach at Port d'Alcudia is wide, sheltered, and family-friendly, with shallow water that stays calm through most of the season. It is located less than twenty minutes away from the hotel by car. The promenade behind it is lined with restaurants and cafés, and the marina nearby offers boat excursions including trips to Cap de Formentor. Inland, the walled town of Alcudia is only a few minutes by car and a very different experience from the beachfront.

Can Picafort sit at the southern end of Alcudia Bay, ten minutes away from the hotel by car, where the same arc of white sand and shallow turquoise water continues past Playa de Muro. A purpose-built resort with a wide pedestrianised promenade, water sports, dining, and a beach that curves gently toward Port d'Alcudia ten kilometres up the coast.

The Oratori de Santa Ana is thought to be the oldest functioning religious building in Mallorca, dating to the 13th century and built partly from stones taken from the Roman ruins of Pollentia nearby. A small Gothic chapel with a single nave and three pointed arches, it sits just outside the walls of Alcudia Old Town, less than twenty minutes away from the hotel. Declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 2004. Modest in scale but remarkable in age, and open briefly in the mornings.

The Torres d'Enfilació are pairs of obelisk-shaped towers rising from the protected dunes at Playa de Muro, built by the Spanish Navy after the Civil War for submarine triangulation exercises in Alcudia Bay. Now obsolete as military infrastructure, they make a striking and unusual landmark, located just five minutes away by car from our hotel near the Statue Tower. After viewing, explore the dune hiking trails and pine forest surrounding them.

The Moll de Fusta is the long wooden jetty extending into the sea at Playa de Muro. It stretches out over shallow turquoise water and is a popular spot for walking, photography, and watching the evening light settle over the bay. Boat excursions depart from here in summer. When you stay at our hotel near Moll de Fusta, this stretch of beach and its most distinctive feature are located right outside your door for best viewing in the early morning.

This working agricultural town is about twenty minutes inland by car from our hotel near Sa Pobla, known across Mallorca for its Sunday market and roots in the island's farming culture. The market fills Plaça Major with fresh produce, cheeses, cured meats, ceramics, and crafts. The town also hosts a well-regarded jazz festival each summer and the Sant Antoni bonfires in January, among the most atmospheric celebrations in the north of the island.
