Executive Chef Ibrahim Alsharif

Seasoned executive chef, Ibrahim Alsharif has over two decades of experience managing luxury dining establishments within premier hotels and resorts throughout the U.S. and the Middle East. Prior to joining InterContinental Houston, Alsharif led culinary teams at IHG properties in Dubai and Jordan and most recently at The Newbury, a historic boutique hotel in Boston.

Over the course of his career, Alsharif has advanced his fine-dining expertise to curate diverse and inventive menus, introducing innovative flavors and preparation styles to successfully elevate restaurants’ reputations, and orchestrated large-scale events while ensuring an unparalleled guest experience. He has expertly spearheaded front and back-of-house operations and run teams across specialty areas such as baking, pastry, and butchery.

As executive chef at InterContinental Houston, Alsharif oversees the 354-room hotel’s banquets, catering, and in-room dining, in addition to culinary offerings at The Naturalist Bar & Lounge, where artisan cocktails and unique takes on comfort food are served in an airy lounge space, and upscale restaurant Safina, where he has introduced new signature dishes that blend the rich and diverse traditions of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine and cultures.
