Things to do
The Perfect Day

Morning

Begin your day enjoying the most important meal of the day at the eclectic Portland Variety, walking distance from the hotel and nestled into one of Toronto’s hottest neighborhoods King West. You will not be short of delicious options from Lemon Ricotta Pancakes to Brioche French Toast accompanied by fresh juices. From there, swim over to Ripley’s Aquarium, home to over 20,000 exotic sea and fresh water specimens - Be sure to see your Concierge for discounted tickets. With plenty of galleries & exhibitions, the aquarium is the perfect place for friends, families or couples. Don’t forget to stop by the Aquarium shop to pick up a souvenir! By now I’m sure you are getting hungry – Don’t worry we have you covered. Joe Bird is right around the corner on the Toronto Harbourfront. It has a unique and entertaining atmosphere with exciting food & drink options.

Afternoon

Step back in time and make your way to the picturesque Evergreen Brick Works. A former quarry that operated for more than a hundred years, The Brick Works provided bricks to some of Toronto’s most famous landmarks such as, Casa Loma & Massey Hall. Now a city park, it makes the perfect place to spend the afternoon and relax in nature. Encircled is a series on ponds, a meadow and hiking trails that wind through a mini-forest and lead to a hidden view of the Toronto Skyline from the opposite side. Depending on the day The Brick Works features a Farmers Market, Flower Market and events such as, Nature’s Play for children with songs and fires & Walking Meditation: Breathwalk in Nature. Stop-by the converted industrial space Café Belong beside the gardens for a snack or some downtime and enjoy a great local farm to table experience.

Evening

After spending time in your cozy room, the evening has arrived. This calls for a Restaurant Crawl in Toronto’s pedestrian only Distillery District. Decorated with cobblestone pathways and 19th century buildings it is the perfect embodiment of Old Toronto and host to a web of amazing restaurants and shops. Start your Crawl with authentic margaritas and taco’s at El Catrin inside or outside at their heated patio – Hop over to Pure Spirits and throw back oysters in a restaurant that was once home to the whiskey operation during 20th century Prohibition – Dance over to your final stop and wind-down the evening at the elegant French bistro Cluny. Indulge in a sumptuously decadent dessert from Chocolate Master Chef Chris Kwok winner of the World Chocolate Masters Awards.

Did You Know?
  • Centre Island located a few blocks from the hotel

Now primarily a city park, it was once the home of 10,000 residents. The main avenue, now a garden and pond display, was once the busy centre of town with hotels, shops and a church.

  • CN Tower

One of the City's most visited attraction. The glass floor is found in the main section of the observation area, but there are two other floors to visit and a fine-dining restaurant.

  • Festivals and events

It is hard to visit Toronto and not discover a special event or festival on any given weekend. Please see the concierge for details or call ahead for some ideas.

  • The PATH

The PATH is Toronto's underground walkway, linking 27 kilometres (16 miles) of shopping, services and entertainment.

  • Yonge Street

Named one of the longest streets in the world, Yonge Street starts in Toronto and ends in Rainy River. It is over 1,900 kilometres long.
