Morning

Welcome a delightful morning with a hearty breakfast at Café du Parc, located inside this luxury hotel in Washington, D.C., and enjoy an abundance of breakfast favorites. Energized, step out of this hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue to discover Washington, D.C.'s rich culture by wandering through the numerous museums. Explore extensive collections of historical artifacts and specimens at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, or discover the history of aviation at the National Air and Space Museum. Take a break beside the tranquil Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, looking out to the iconic Washington Monument standing tall on the opposite end. Be sure to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the newest museum at the National Mall. When ready for lunch, head into the museum’s Sweet Home Café and feast upon the rich, contemporary cuisine rooted in African tradition.

Afternoon

After lunch, wander into Georgetown, the city's oldest neighborhood. Stroll through the waterfront and find yourself immersed in its charming culture. Explore the three famous historic house museums: Dumbarton Oaks, Dumbarton House, and Tudor Place, before heading to the Book Hill part of the neighborhood for gallery-hopping and a buttery croissant at one of the coffee shops. End your afternoon on a sweet note by visiting the renowned Georgetown Cupcakes for delicious gourmet cupcakes baked daily using the finest ingredients.

Evening

As evening falls, Washington, D.C.'s vibrant nightlife comes alive. Choose from an array of restaurants by the award-winning chefs for dinner. At the Concierge Desk at our hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., we are delighted to provide information about local restaurants, offer dining suggestions based upon your preferred cuisine and ambiance, and make any reservations on your behalf. After dinner, stroll along the National Mall and experience the monuments at night. Wrap up the evening with a well-deserved nightcap at our luxury hotel's stately Round Robin Bar.

  • George Washington's Mount Vernon

    Visit the historic home of George Washington, America's first president. Explore the estate's 500 acres, including Washington's Mansion, Pioneer Farm, the gardens, including a quarter-mile-long forest trail, the Gristmill & Distillery, as well as the solemn memorial dedicated to the enslaved people who lived and worked on the estate. George Washington's Mount Vernon is open 365 days a year, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Paid tickets are required for admission. Located roughly 15 miles south of our luxury hotel in Washington, D.C, the estate is easily accessible by car or taxi.

  • International Spy Museum

    Did you know the International Spy Museum features the largest collection of international espionage artifacts currently on public display? Located adjacent to the National Mall, in L'Enfant Plaza, the Spy Museum is open Thursday through Monday and requires paid timed tickets for general admission. Inquire with the concierge of our downtown hotel in Washington, D.C. on the best way to reserve the tickets.

  • National Museum of Women in the Arts

    Located a few short blocks from Willard InterContinental hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue, explore the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Showcasing the achievement of women artists of all periods and nationalities, this museum is open Monday - Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Timed admission tickets can be purchased in advance on the museum's website or through our concierge.
