Wish it was Better!

This was a rare, but my stay at the Times Square Crowne Plaza was not very good! As a Platinum Elite customer, this was sub par experience. My stay was disappointing at best. Here goes (and I am trying to be nice).
1) NO Platinum or Gold Check-in area at Front Desk
2) No upgrade or even Elite Floor room
3) Stepped on corn flake in room on carpet
4) Hair dryer did not work properly
5) No bottled water
6) No breakfast coupons
7) Phone on bed stand did not work
8) Had to ask for the internet charge/health club charge to be taken off bill
9) Room was awful dry - difficult to sleep
10) Only 2 towels in room
11) No robes in room
12) NO WELCOME BONUS
13) Front Desk person was not friendly and had a little edge to his responses

This experience was so unlike any other Crowne Plaza or IHG experience I have ever had. Personally, I feel my money should be refunded. On a positive note, the morning staff, she was very good, friendly, well trained and a great IHG representative! The person that checked me in after a 5 guest wait in line to get to the front desk was not a good IHG representative and of course he did not care or put any effort to please a good IHG customer. I still think about how sub par Sunday night's experience was.

Believe me, I really try to make IHG my preferred brand. Even if there were no rooms on the Elite Floor - make one feel like elite on another floor. Treat the customer well!

Great Stay

This hotel is one of the best Hotel in NYC, as a native new yorker living now in Colorado had the best time at this location. Traveling with teenagers they really enjoyed staying right in the middle of the action of Time Square. Staff is very nice. Rooms a little small to what I have gotten used to on the west coast but overall fantastic. I will return to this location on my next visit.

The hotel was lobby and staff met my expectations. The room was size and decor was appropriate. The only negative comment I have regarding my stay is the construction noise that I experianced in the morning. I was not made aware that there would be work being performed above my room and the late morning sleep I was looking forward to was abruptly disturbed by the noise. I am not against construction or updating but it would have been nice if I could have been in a room away from the noise or at least made aware of the fact that there was going to be noise above.
