Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet in the lobby, please My wife and I stay at this hotel a few times a year. It is a great value, and we enjoy having breakfast in the restaurant on the top floor, with its nice views. The staff has always been thoughtful and pleasant, and I sleep well in the beds, which isn't always the case for me in hotels. My one disappointment with the experience comes from the presence of a big, loud television in the lobby. I wake up early and want to read the paper or write some postcards, while my wife enjoys her sleep. I expect to be able to to that in a hotel lobby, but the tv prevents me from doing so. I have seen no one else in the lobby interested in watching the tv. If it's necessary to provide a public tv--which I do not accept--it should be put in a separate room with a door that closes. I know the lobby was recently renovated, and I was hoping the tv would be removed. But alas, it wasn't. 15 May 2013

A bathroom with a narrow bath/shower: once the glass closed, because of two handles face to face, there is very few place to wash yourself. But it doesn't matter. Great breakfast at the restaurant located on the top of the building. Possibility to securely leave our luggage and laptop the last day. 14 May 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I ALWAYS stay here when in DC! I come to DC fairly often and always stay at the Key Bridge Holiday Inn. The hotel price on weekends is the best I've found and the parking deck is free. The price does go up significantly during the week. The location is very convenient. It is right across from the metro station and it's an easy walk across the Key Bridge to visit Georgetown. There is easy access to Rt. 66 and to downtown DC. I have also brought my bike before and there is a bike path right across the street that runs into Alexandria. The hotel staff is always helpful. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop restaurant with the wonderful view of Georgetown. There is a full breakfast buffet every morning and I especially enjoy the restaurant breakfast staff who are always very pleasant and read with the coffee! 13 May 2013

Having an in-door pool is definitively a plus when you come back at night from washington and want to relax. The restaurant at the 17th floor allows to have good food (and wine!), while enjoying the view over washington and the occasional planes. 12 May 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Three Week Business Trip Rooms are quite and the upgrade to a suite was a very nice plus especially since I was staying for so long. Staff was accommodating and the location is very convenient to the metro as well as a short drive into the city and across the river from Georgetown. Not a shortage of things to do in the immediate area. The size of the parking spaces in the garage are quite small. While it's definitely a plus to have free parking, it was difficult to maneuver and someone struck my truck sometime during my stay. The elevators can run really slow so always leave yourself a little extra time to get where you need. 11 May 2013

I requested to be changed of room because the view (my staying was of 13 nights) and they did it, without any charge. It was great to arrive to my room, after an intensive day, and rest with such a wonderful view. My room had a refrigerator, coffee maker and good coffe. Also I was provided of tooth brush and paste, because my luggage arrive later than me. Excellent location. Close to the Metro Station and I walked from the Hotel to Georgetown, crossing the bridge. From there, I walked to the memorials (round trip) . 10 May 2013

When the battery died on it while at the Vietnam Memorial the staff worked with me to get it back to the hotel. Can't say enough about the great serve they gave me. I will be back there for sure. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location/wonderful service This was our first trip to Washington, D.C. The staff was very helpful. The views from our room and the top floor dinning room were great. The morning waiter (Abdul) was very nice and the food was good. We also had dinner twice at the hotel and my family all enjoyed our meal. Quite yummy! The only thing I would say is, the restaurant would look a bit nicer if they would have new flooring. It was very easy to get around from this location. 5 minutes from subway or 5 minute drive to down town d.c. My family and I would stay here again when we return to Washington. :) 08 May 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location and very spacious rooms The most positive aspects of this hotel are very large and spacious rooms with balconies that give amazingly beautiful views of the river (I stayed in the 8th floor) and town. The neighbourhood also appeared very clean, safe and convenient. The metro station Rosslyn is at just 5 minutes walking distance and it can help you quickly reach the downtown as well as westfalls church metro station (from which you can catch the direct Washington flyer bus to Dulles International Airport). There are also good restaurants nearby and there are also McD/ Starbucks nearby. The staff in the evening shift were very friendly and professional, though I must say that the lady receptionists in the morning shift were a bit rude/ unprofessional. The only negatives I could find about this hotel are that the room and the floor looked a bit dated and the lightings in the room lacked uniformity (some lights were cream, while others were white), which in turn made the room look less pleasant than what it actually is. May be the Holiday Inn interior designers should make a visit to this hotel and make the rooms look more appealing/ contemporary. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a budget accomodation on her/ his trip to Washington DC. 03 May 2013

We had a very nice room with a nice view. The staff is very friendly and easy to deal with. Free parking is a huge plus. The hotel has a metro stop across the street so that you can go anywhere you want quickly. If you are a priority club member you get breakfast on the house. 03 May 2013

The hotel just seems a little 'seasoned and weathered' - not the standards I've seen at Holiday Inns before and not the standard for the amount paid for the room. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good service and comfortable room My wife and I stayed 3 nights and appreciated the view eastern view, the comfortable bed, excellent business office space with large screen MAC computers, proximity to METRO rail system. The breakfast buffet was very good and free due to our Priority Membership which was also free online. We had a small balcony, a chair for the desk and an upholstered chair that faced the flat screen high-def TV. We had quick service when we noted that our refrigerator needed an extension cord. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay This was the first time I took my kids (13 and 16 year old boys) to see all the sites in Washington, DC. The Holiday Inn Rosslyn was close to a Metro subway station. It was just a 15 minute subway ride to any of the Washington, DC attractions. For breakfast we could go to the breakfast cafe on the first floor of the hotel or to McDonald's which was close by (right next door to the Metro Subway station. The Holiday Inn front desk gave us an excellent map of local restaurants that were in walking distance- Wilson Ave. My kids loved Chipotle (went there twice in one week), Piola (excellent pizza and Italian entrees) and Ruby Tuesdays. My 13 year old slept on a roll away bed (no extra charge). Each day after walking 5-7 miles seeing the attractions- it was nice to take a swim in the indoor heated pool- great fun! As a Realtor, being able to use their computer room (that has 3 Mac computers) was a lifesaver, in that I typed up 2 offers while I was on vacation! Plus- indoor safe parking! 25 April 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Views I was in the area for a conference which was held at the hotel. i found the staff to be friendly and helpful. check in went very smoothly. the room was nice. The bathroom was slightly dated with the wear showing however it was clean and adequate. the balcony was phenomenal as were the views. I really felt relaxed while watching the plane go by. The views really made my stay memorable. Amazingly, when the balcony was closed, i barely heard the planes. i ate in the restaurant where the service was quite good and the food was tasteful. i also enjoyed some time at the bar and the bartender was exceptional. he was friendly, attentive and engaging. during the conference, the banquet area on the second floor was always very humid. I am not sure but it may have been the area where there was a pool. but the accomodations were fine. I also used the business center which had Mac computers and very current technology. Checking out was a breeze. Great, secure parking was available and easy in and out. It was worth staying there. 24 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by conflicting While the room was clean and comfortable, and the view across the Potomac lovely, not all went well at this site, and some of it was not the fault of this property, but of the reservation service. We felt that the front desk staff was not as helpful as they should have been in giving directions. With a computer at hand, they should offer to print out specific directions. The freeways are confusing at best. We stayed three nights, left for a few days and returned for one more night. When booking our final night, through the Holiday Inn reservation line, we were told a couple of things that were not true. We were told that as priority club members we would be staying on a special floor that could only be reached by club members and that we would have free hors doerves and drinks. Neither are offered at this hotel. We did not care about the special floor, and were offered one free breakfast (there were 2 of us) that we could not use because of an early flight. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by So much for being a "platinum" member I should start by saying that I don't expect to be treated like a king or anything for being a platinum member. Truth be told, my job takes me to many locations, and my company pays the bills. Having said that, they would pay for any other similarly priced hotel of my choosing, and I've chosen Holiday Inn enough times they've decided to reward me with a platinum status. In other words, I don't have to stay with Holiday Inn. So I decided to "cash-in" on that loyalty, and use one of the reward nights to stay close to DC for a concert. Wow, can I tell you that loyalty didn't get me very far. It started immediately from check-in. The guy at the desk did not seem impressed with my club status, and that's fine, but I thought he would have been equally dismissiveof anyone's status. I asked him, for example, if I could have a queen bed, instead of two full size beds. They didn't have any "available". Or anything else for that matter apparently. And for a hotel with something like 17 floors on what appeared to be a slow night, I found that extremely hard to believe. Ok, fine though. I asked about some things with the food for the hotel. They were closed. I asked him about bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. He kind of shrugged and said he thought there might be something around the corner. All in all, I found him rude and dismissive. I probably wouldn't hold the whole hotel in contempt if this were the only incident. Maybe he was having a bad night. So the next morning, I go for the breakfast, and it was like a whole room full of the desk clerk. I found the breakfast crew equally useless from a customer service standpoint. I don't think they came to my table a single time, except when I went back to the serving area, at which point they cleared my table for me, even though I wasn't done eating. I asked one server for some hot sauce, and he said "yeah, it's over there" while pointing back to the serving table. Really?? Usually, I find McDonald's employees more helpful and agreeable than that. I don't mind taking care of myself, but when you have to grab your own water for your table, get your own silverware, get your own condiments, I can't understand why there are so many servers walking around the dining room. The hotel could save money, and the servers who clearly don't want to be there could save time! And generally, I don't whine about the breakfast foods, because it's free, and I've had worse, but it was pretty terrible. I would say the fruit was worse than cardboard, but at least cardboard has a flavor. It was like flavorless cardboard. Again, I don't expect to be treated like royalty simply for staying at the same hotel chain repeatedly, but I would have been extremely dissappointed to have paid out of my own pocket for something like this. And this was a "reward" night! And to be fair, the room was nice enough, and everything was clean. 23 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Personable staff I found the overall stay has average due to the room I stayed in, It was a handicapped suite with double beds , once we arrived and entered the room it was like that was where all the extra furniture was stored, there was entirely too much furniture for such a small room. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service but a tired property We had a great stay at this hotel. we found the staff exceptionally helpful and very keen to assist. Whilst the pictures looked great on the website we found the room, bathroom and second sink were all small. The beds were comfortable and the sheets clean although the clothes hanging space was a just functional and the rail dented. We had asked for a room with a view and received one. The views from the Vantage point restaurant were superb. The staff in the restaurant were fantastic and very attentive without being overbearing although there wasn't a great deal of choice on the breakfast buffet. There was only a small selection of beers and no draft ale at all. (Kids ate free if an adult was paying). Great gym and a pool with a lifeguard - great for the kids. We had an issue with our door keys and whilst the staff sorted the problem out we were locked out of our room for 45 mins and did not even get offered a drink in the bar! Overall we had a great stay, the hotel is very handy for the Metro and the staff tried very hard. We would stay here again and would recommend it if you want a hotel out of the middle of DC but near the Metro. 22 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and spacious room We stayed here because we used Vamoosed Bus to Roslyn from NY and this hotel was convenient to the bus dropped off and Metro station. Was easy to get metro to The Mall or Metro Center. The room was clean and spacious there is a sink also out side of the bathroom, making it easy to get dress while someone using the bathroom. There is in room safe, coffee maker, flat screen TV, desk and a comfortable arm chair, great wi-fi. I could hear the traffic noise from the outside and if guest was talking outside the door. Our room was near the elevator so at times it got noisy, but our room also face the river and Georgetown which was nice. And if you can make it to breakfast as the sun rise it is worth the view, the 17th floor over look the river and the city. 21 April 2013

The Metro station was within walking distance, so it was not necessary to have a vehicle. Georgetown was just over the bridge and we walked there a couple of times. There was also an indoor pool, we did not utilize but did walk down to look at and a Cafe on the second floor as well. We ate the breakfast buffet a couple of mornings and it was very good. 21 April 2013

Room is comfortable but bathroom could use updating --- not bad, always clean but could be moderized. Service and staff always helpful and friendly even at busy times. We love the restaurant on 17th floor especially for our breakfast before heading out for the day but was disappointed to learn that it was complimentary to only one hotel guests per room. We understand the economy requires adjustments, but as the price of the room accommodations increases -- which it has since our first visit -- it seems unfair that amenities decrease. 19 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, location and facilities A long weekend at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn was like a step back in time when hotel employees actually went out of their way to give you MORE than one asked for. Meeting room was excellent and the service in the room was swift and efficient. Sleeping rooms were comfortable and roomy and free parking is just unheard of in D.C. Plus the Metro was a block away. We (there were 12 of us) cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Murry and friends in Pennsylvania 19 April 2013
