I've made several stays in Rolla over the years. Staying in south Rolla was convenient to my travels. Until now, quality pickings in that area were slim to none. Not now! This Holiday Inn is a great
I think a few things could be tweaked, but don't take away from the overall experience. There needs to be grab bars in the tub for us older folk. It was after sundown when I arrived and the exterior lighting was poor. I almost decided the property was closed. Parking lot lighting needs to be better. During check in, I was asked to initial that there was no smoking or pets allowed. I also had to provide a basic description of my car. (Were there problems in the parking lot? Would my car be safe?) These kind of things went out twenty years ago. The breakfast service was excellent except for the cheese/egg omelets. Recommend they be changed out for a pan of freshly made scrambled eggs. Put out some shredded cheese for those who want it. They need to install an ice machine and vending machines on the third floor. It is inconvenient for third-floor guests to go down to the second floor for those services. It almost makes one think the property owners ran out of money and couldn't buy this extra equipment.
As I said, the above are just things I think can be improved. This is a quality hotel with friendly, helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms. The breakfast area is one of the nicest I've seen, and everything else on the extensive breakfast offerings was just perfect.
I'm going to stay here again when I travel through Rolla.
