I stayed at this hotel twice. The first time was just okay. No issues, small rooms but it's the city, they were clean. The second time I stayed the elevator didn't work, the ice machines didn't work, there were no refrigerators available, the toilet didn't flush, the end table next to the bed was damaged and cut my arm, the AC didn't work on an 80 degree day (luckily the windows open very wide), and the front desk representative was less than eager to care or help. I followed a woman with her baby and a stroller up 9 flights of very narrow steps and then she had to go back and get her bags. In the AM, the elevator "worked" again and since I was on the 9th floor with luggage, I took it. It shook and bounced the entire way - terrifying.

Everything was as we had hoped. The breakfast options were more plentiful than we expected. My kids especially liked the pancake making machine.

Great Place. Clean, good location. Use caution when calling for a cab. Make sure it is a Yellow Cab.

I had a great stay. The food was typical hotel continental breakfast. The front desk staff were all really nice. I will not stay again, because i'm a New Yorker, but will recommend.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel, and my stay was ok. The staff is very nice and helpful, breakfast was good, and the hotel is very close to the subway. However, the heating is so noisy that I found it really hard to sleep. Also, mattress and pillows are not confortable at all, which made my nights even worse. Considering the price I paid to stay there, I would expect the room to be much more comfortable than it actually was.

This is my second stay at the Holiday Inn in Gowanus and both times the staff have been incredibly nice. The rooms are a good size, beds are super comfy, and the neighborhood is really charming -- close to shopping in Park Slope as well as prospect park. The only downsides are the internet gets really slow at night when (I'm assuming) most guests are using it, and that the elevator at the hotel takes *forever*
