Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Caring & Cheerful All of the staff we saw were wearing a smile (is that a requirement for employees?), which made us feel they were glad we were there. The shuttle got us to our appointment timely and returned to pick us up timely as well. Most importantly, when we found out we were finished after only half a day rather than the 2 days we thought would be needed, we were allowed to check out without paying for another day. Definitely recommend. 18 August 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice place to stay! This was our second time to stay at this motel, and I would recommend it to anyone. The room is nice, with plenty of space so you don't feel crowded. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast choices are great, not just day-old pastries. I will be back to MD Anderson soon and hope to be able to stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything in the room worked as it should. 04 August 2013

The staff is extremely nice and always very accommodating whether it be a request for a late or early check in/out or whatever I have needed. The shuttle they provide for transporation to medical appointments is great. The hotel is also within walking distance of restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy. We were within walking distance to the surgery center, restaurants, Super Target. Would stay here again. It is not for family vacations, as there is no pool, but perfect for our needs. 04 July 2013

It appears to be a new Holiday Inn Express, but in reality is an old run down Holiday Inn. The 1st room we got, the lock on the door did not work, so I requested a different room. The 2nd room wasn't any better. It was a miserable experience, and I would not recommend this hotel. 02 July 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by clunky air conditioner the hotel didn't have a swimming pool...disappointing...upstairs over our room, it sounded like they were moving furniture all night...the air conditioner snorted and wheezed all night and finally went out around 4 am...good thing we had to leave early...bed was comfortable but can get more value elsewhere for same price 11 June 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad part of town?! We chose this Holiday Inn because of the location to MD Anderson and the price. Our first stay was on May 9 and 10 and everything was wonderful. Then we returned home and came back to this Holiday Inn on May 12, 2013 for an overnight stay. This was a Sunday night and the parking lot was full when we returned from eating at one of the local Mexican restaurants. Monday morning our daughter had an appointment at MD Anderson at 7:00 am, so we were leaving the hotel at 6:30 am. That is when we discovered the Chevrolet Equinox in the parking lot! Someone had removed all 4 tires sometime between 11:00 Sunday night and 6:30 Monday morning. I immediately notified the front desk staff, who sent several staff members to the parking lot. I can't imagine the frustration the owners of the vehicle must have felt, especially if they were there for an appointment at MD Anderson. We will not stay at this particular location again due to this incident. 03 June 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Keep an eye on your vehicle I got this room for my cousin whose husband was in the hospital at the Medical Center. She was very happy with the room and the service from the front desk personnel. However, in the middle of the night her car was broken into. The thief broke the back window rather than popping the locks or breaking the side window (?) Police thought they might be looking for things to steal for drug money. There was a lot of glass and some blood, so these weren't the sharpest knives in the car thief drawer. My cousin was lucky they didn't steal the car altogether.... This is a nice property in a not so nice area of town. The perimeter of the medical center area is not the greatest.... hard to avoid, though, if you want to be close to a loved one in the hospital. 27 May 2013

If there is a problem, which is rare, an employee always take care of it immediately. I have heard comments from employees that their boss is fantastic. I will return. 27 May 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay, at a stressful time, at Holiday Inn Express Medical Center -Staff was very accommodating and there was great service. -Price was high for a three star hotel but okay for the area! -There was a good variety of breakfast items and the service was so friendly and helpful. Great cinnamon rolls!! -My sister and I stayed in a suite so I could make it more comfortable for her as she was having Chemo and Radiation treatments. Room was large and Clean! Bed was comfortable and it was great to have a microwave and Refrigerator. -The cleaning crew took care of us in a professional matter. -Hotel could use some updating on carpet, lighting and furniture. -Reception staff was extra helpful and tried to accomodate our needs when we had to extend our stay a few days. -Hotel close to Medical Center and Museums-so good location. The shuttle service was good and so helpful for going to MD Anderson Clinics. (No charge) But-people should tip!!! -If you drive it is difficult to get in and out of Hotel, but once you get used to the correct route, it is not too bad! -A couple of issues occurred-we had a leak in our room by the window during a rain deluge and hail storm. Hotel did offer to move us but my sister was not feeling well and really did not want to go through moving to another room! Maintenece did come to the room and provide some towels for the leak! -I would definitely stay here again and reccommend this Hotel to anyone! 22 May 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Price and Maintenace We have stayed at this Holiday Inn for several years and had in the past found good value and a well kept hotel. However, the most recent stay we found the hotel prices have soared really too high for the location. The hotel staff was excellent, the room however had several problems. The desk lamp was almost completely falling apart, the a/c was extremely loud, one of the lights by the bed was burned out, the tv remote batteries were so low as not to work most of the time. The breakfast was good as was the staff who handled these duties. So in general the price even for Priority Club members has priced us out of this location and the maintenance issues were also an issue for us. 08 May 2013

Some in Austin, some in Houston and then in other towns where Holiday Inns are not available. This hotel beats all of them - Holiday Inn or whatever brand. I will not hesitate to stay here again. Good atmosphere, good smelling rooms, good service, good breakfast, good folks at the desk. What else can I say? Excellent. 06 May 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice and Great Service I have recently stayed at this hotel while going to MD Anderson and the Texas Medical Center. The hotel itself is very clean and pretty inside. The staff here is just great. They are willing to accomodate your needs and it never seems to be a problem. From the front desk staff to the houskeeping department they all truly seem to love their jobs and want to please the guests. The shuttle that runs on an hourly basis to the Texas Medical Center area hospitals is great and truly saves you approx. $20 per day by the time you drive yourself and pay parking. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. 01 May 2013

I was a little nervious when i pulled into the driveway and noticed the storage facilty and the apartments. My view out of my room was the apartment complex.The staff at check in was very friendly and welcomimg. The room was standard Holiday Inn Express but I selpt good. breakfast was good and the same items at al Holiday inn Express. They open at 6:30am and everyone comes down around this time. The breakfast area is small but seems to work. OPverall this was a great stay and will stay again if I am in the area. 07 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience Stayed there in February due to Medical appointments at MD Anderson. MD Anderson rate at this Hotel is very reasonable. Rooms are very quiet and comfortable, staff very helpful when needing late check-out due to medical appointment running over. Flat screen TV has many HD channels. Shower has good water pressure. Cannot hear guests in adjacent rooms so sound insulation is excellent. Many food choices next door to this Hotel. Have stayed here before and will stay here again when in Houston for medical appointments at MD Anderson. Staff and Management should be proud of this facility. 24 March 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loved my stay I wasn't very happy with the Kitchen staff on Sunday but the manager Walker fixed it and made it all a wonderful experience. The office girls Debbie and Erica were AMAZING!!!!!! The cleaning staff laura was rude and not willing to accomadate the guests but after bringing it to the Walkers Knowledge it was fixed asap. I will be back Thanks for the extra day we loved it Only thing I noticed is that I was charged double for the night and 15.00 for another night can you look into this please 20 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dont believe any bad reviews about this place The staff was sincere and enthusiastic, and the rooms impeccable. Ive stayed at a lot of hotel's in the area. This is one of the few hotels that always keeps space for me during the Rodeo. While they do ask for some form of identification, they are concerned with your privacy, as long as you are willing to provide any proof, they are happy to accept it. All I did was show my appointment letter, the agent took a quick glance, and said thanks. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and shuttle drivers, they were very kind, and sensitive to my needs as a medical guest. 19 March 2013
