Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mk22k Great hotel for a short stay
Great hotel for a short stay. I came for a wedding to the hotel and it was everything a short stay should be, comfortable, efficient staff and service. The only downside was that the breakfast wasn't very expansive and the quality wasn't great. But, all in all, a simple clean and very friendly hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by And102 Excellent Value including dinner at Marco's
Very small room for a family of 4 - however it was clean and for one night was ok. The shower had hair in it from the previous guest which was rather unpleasant - but the rest of the room seemed fine.
We had a dinner b

Being a service provide, staff is really important when dealing with customers. After a long drive and being tired, you would expect good level of customer service. Hotel was very crowded and they couldn't manage well during breakfast. It was probably a bad day.

Only stayed the one night. Check in and out speedy and accurate. Room small but adequate. Rewards membership acknowledged. Free drink offered and very welcomed. Breakfast was a buffet that had great sausages offer. We paid for a package for one night plus a 3 course meal at Marcos next door which makes that deal exceptional value

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BrunoTheLeonberger Just want somewhere to stay - fits the bill!
We needed somewhere to stay for a night so that we could attend a funeral in Hoylake without a 400 mile round trip, and this hotel came up when I searched for 'dog-friendly hotels in Hoylake'. Having a very large dog (a Leonberger) I had to ask if it was ok to bring him, to be assured that it was. The confirmation email did state a maximum weight of 30lbs, and a Leonberger is 140 ! Perhaps it was the fact that November is a relatively quieter time, but we were welcomed with absolutely no problems whatsoever. The rooms are comfortable enough, and we found everything to be clean and tidy. Breakfast is what you would expect - a self-service buffet type - but it provided what we needed. One major plus is the 20% discount that we got for our evening meal at the adjoining Marco's restaurant. I don't know about other staff, but Sophie at the Reception desk was very friendly and helpful at all times. For our short stay we didn't need a gym, swimming pool etc. - this fitted the bill perfectly.
