Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and extras, but a bit shabby This hotel offers spacious rooms (great for families) and the downtown location is wonderful - near old Montreal, Chinatown, Quartier des Spectacles. But the quality of rooms varies a lot - ours had a noisy toilet and badly working a/c., and we were unable to switch or upgrade. On the positive side, the staff is friendly and helpful and the free breakfast is ample and varied. We might stay here again but will inspect our room thoroughly first. 22 June 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Accomodation OK - Breakfast Not OK While accommodation is OK and the hotel nicely position for city trip, the quality of breakfast is really poor. Not only it is served in plastic plates with plastic cutlery, there is neither vegetarian option not any vegetables or salads available. Staff is very helpful and courteous which makes the stay more pleasant. 18 June 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not to my expectations This property was not reminiscent of any Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in before. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again. Beds were not level, both mattresses in my room were pitted and very uncomfortable, red stains on carpet (??), bad smell in the room... Holiday inn needs to do better here. 17 June 2014

It was F1 Grand Prix weekend, therefore price was way high, too high Air conditioning was noisy and rooms need some freshening up, bathroom looks old staff is excellent even when very busy. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value - Great experience Would definitely stay again at this hotel. Great front desk staff, friendly and quick service. The rooms were big and spacious. All with a kitchenette which was nice because there is an IGA about 2 blocks, so we were able to buy and store food. Bed was a bit small since the hotel does not offer king beds. Breakfast was more than I expected. Lots of variety. Walking distance to the subway, and about a 30min walk to downtown montreal where all the restaurants and clubs are. Overall would definitely stay here again 11 June 2014

The room was pretty big - with full-size refrigerator, etc. The front desk personnel could speak multiple languages (which was useful in the diverse city). 05 June 2014

The parking is a little bit expensive, however you should consider is Montreal downtown. The staff is not friendly mainly at the font desk (as always there are exceptions and I can not generalize). Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the Best Holiday inn Express I have stayed in The location is good, the parking is convenient, the property is just fair, the renovations that have been done were not what I would expect of new Holiday chain, the bathroom tile was dirty and grout was missing, the closets where strange and the room/suite I was in was just a strange layout. Property was ok, I just seems the renovation was completed on a very thin budget and not much attention to detail or keeping with the standard of the Holiday Inn Express chain. Having to use a key to access the breakfast area and every time you use the elevators was an I convenience. And my tv would not shut off I had to pull the plug And the Internet was not very good The entrance was dirty and isin need of an refresher. The staff was very nice . 24 May 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I won't be there again Since last few months, I stayed at this hotel several times for business. Main reason : well located. In many rooms, beds are unconfortables. I mentionned this situation few times at the front desk. Nothing has been done to change it. Last time, price went up by 33% and the next reservation would be higher.. When I asked why, the clerck at the front desk said : « it goes with the occupacy - hotel Policy ». During March break, hotel was full, and the price was the same ! Indoor parking is dusty. Need to be clean. Sorry, I won't be there again... 24 May 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Price for the location I traveled here for business to attend a tradeshow. The walk was only 1/2 mile to the convention center (15 minutes). Walk to dinner around the port area was about the same distance. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was adequate. Staff was friendly. Price of the hotel was reasonable for the location. Cost of a taxi from the airport was roughly $40 so driving was not necessary. Bus transportation from the airport was only $10 (transit time a l little longer). I'd stay there again. 19 May 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Is it really Holiday Inn Express? I have stayed at this hotel 3 nights. It was the worst IHG hotel experience ever. Hotel is gloomy, old, worn and generally discouraging. At entrance door is a dirty gray carpeting. Breakfast is really below average: toasts, bagels, some kind of hamburger, jam, egg... One and only pros is wide choice of yoghurt flavors. There was no cheese or vegetables or fruits. Breakfast room is too small. Location and staff were OK. 16 April 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2 bedroom Stayed in the 2 bedroom and it was fine. Very large space and very close to everything. Underground parking was awesome, especially because it was on site. Check in was easy, no difficulties with staff. Having to use the key card for every elevator ride is a little annoying but understandable. 30 March 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't ever stay here One of the greatest disappointments of my life was staying at the Hilton Inn Express in Montreal. SO DISGUSTING. Everything is the room was not just old, it was FILTHY. There was what looked like snot on the shower curtain, puke encrusted on the walls, not to mention just regular dirt marks and streaks. Also the paint is peeling. The carpets were stained with who knows what, I wore shoes in the room the entire weekend. The whole place was dusty, I was sneezing the whole time. The tub was atrocious, the sink leaked and it wet all our stuff that we left on the counter. We stayed two nights, they took our old towels and didn't give us fresh ones. When we called to the front desk to get some new ones brought up the phone rang for literally five minutes and no one picked up. Also the lights never "just worked". You had to reset the outlet in the bathroom to turn the lights on in the bedroom. And the place was always freezing Hey, and guess what?! They don't offer comforters – just sheets and a thin blanket you have to get yourself from the closet. NEVER, EVER STAY HERE! Waste of your money, and you will just feel grossed out and won't be able to relax. You'll leave with the feeling of wanting to burn all the belongings you brought with you to that place. 17 March 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Poor service, terrible maintainance The door did not shut properly. I had to slam it to close. The hot water in bathroom sink trickled. I had to shave with cold water. The staff told me they will fix it. Nothing happened! The breakfast was awful. There was not even a single item on the menu including the fresh fruit which was pretty old. When I checked out, the individual at the front desk did not even asked me how my stay was. I guessed he already knew my answer. 11 March 2014
