The hotel is a great value for the money and will only get better as the hotel is currently under renovations. Stayed here years ago and will say here again...

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Penntwo Worst Holiday Inn Express we have stayed at ever.
This hotel was undergoing an extensive renovation to bring it up to modern decor and comfort, but no guests were notified about this before they arrived. It is an older property but with the renovations going on there was no floor nor hallway at least on the first two floors that did not have plaster fragments and dust everywhere. The carpets in our room were dingy and looked like they needed a good, deep cleaning. The sheets on one of the queen beds looked and felt dirty and the mattress pad under the sheet on the other bed did not reach to both sides of the bed. Hotel management did not order enough cinnamon rolls nor yogurt to supply for the Monday morning guests.
It was certainly not normal HIE standards!
We will not stay in that hotel again and may even rethink using HIE in the future.

Older building being updated. Phone, lighting, tv signal, parking all an issue. Worst of all paid almost the same as hotel next store.

Overall, we felt safe in our room and hotel. Must be early for breakfast for hot foods. Bring your own shampoos and conditioners, those in the bath were stuck in the bottels. Bring some bug spray, small ants in bath.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gringolalo Older well kept hotel
We stayed at this hotel for three nights and enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is conveniently located and has been maintained well. The staff is pleasant and helpful.
The one and only negative would be that the hallways, elevator and the room needed better job of vacuuming.
The breakfast was excellent. Would recommend this hotel as very good value.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mystifying mind ok for a short stay
this hotel is in the process of renovation which is greatly needed particularly in the rooms and the breakfast area.
I stay here frequently on business and the staff have always been helpful and friendly.
Its a fine place, it is just showing its long use and age, and is now in the process of gradually being renovated.
The number of luggage carts available is on the low side, and the carts hopefully will be upgraded during the renovation.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FLnative Easy and relaxing place to stay
Overall, had a very nice CLEAN AND QUIET experience here. It was very relaxing. Great lighting from the large window we had. Spacious room, bathroom and large king bed were pluses. No strange smells or bugs anywhere. There was no refrigerator so we created a makeshift cooler to store items that needed to stay frozen or cold. That was basically the only thing that was kinda "meh." The other thing -maybe personally just me- but the mattress cover was like sleeping on a covered, flat balloon, LOL. I could feel it slipping and sliding all the time so that was kinda weird for me. I didn't sleep as great as I could have, but perhaps it's because the mattress itself isn't really ideal for sciatica sufferers, as am I. Having said that, I still was able to get some good quality sleep. I would still recommend it to others. Also, this staff was a little bit unusual. Friendly if they are in the mood :-/ But they seem to be very disconnected to each other at the front. One girl was extremely cold and seemed agitated just by my politely asking a question about the final bill, which was not correct. Maybe other Holiday Inn Express hotels have a more considerate staff, but it could have been the location of this one as to why I had a bit of an odd experience with them. They are nice up front as soon as you check in. After that, it appears like they don't really care about their consideration or how they speak to you since they have your money now. Also they seemingly didn't know how to handle a problem or concern without asking the next person. This hotel is in Bonita Springs and having lived there for a year, I know there is a mix of different kinds of people. You could end up talking to a polite staff who is kind, considerate, and does not fake their smile, or you could get the typical jaded South Floridian who is tired of their hotel/hospitality job and therefore, is not very good at it. LOL.
