Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Club Lounge, nice pool, constant building work If you're up on the Club floors, you get a great Club Lounge for Breakfast, and free beer wine & spirits and food from late afternoon to 20:30. That's great. May/Jun 2013 seems they're constantly building. Pool just re-opened and it's nice, but still not finished - and there's constant angle grinding around there and on ground floor. Quite painful. Like all Asian hotel rooms, "non-smoking" just means nobody smoked in the room yesterday, maybe. 09 June 2013

However, the room service food wasn't great and I have to wake up often whenever my neighbors come in and out. (the door sound). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by They make your stay memorable It was a wonderful experience I had during my stay at Intercon Midplaza, Jakarta. I was occupying room no 1034 from 14th to 17th of May 2013, which is a Club category room with many benefits such as free laundry/pressing, newspapers, fruits, free offers at Spa which was refreshing Japanese style one. Free entry to the club launch was an unforgettable experience with range of food options (Very healthy stuff) and unlimited liquor and wines from good verities (Which may not be very healthy so I settled to some red wines). On top of all, the politeness of the staff made me very comfortable throughout the stay. Let me thank and wish all the very best to my friend at reservation Ms. Melissa, all staff of Intercontinental Midplaza for making my Indonesia trip a memorable one. 25 May 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lights when on suddenly and the whole toilet was flooded I was staying in Intercontinental Midplaza during the period of 8th-11th of May. Having been a business traveller and supporting Intercontinental whenever i am in Jakarta all my 4 years, was quite upset with the corporate rate given to my company this time round. We used to enjoy 3 pieces of laundry per day but now, given a 3 piece laundry per stay. With an increase in our room rates. Also my recent stay, being on the club room. Having to experience lights turning on suddenly and the flushing system going bersek.... resulting in a flooded toilet was quite disappointing. Staffs there are all polite and always willing to help nevertheless. Rooms are comfortable and good. I have never once in my 4 years gotten any free upgrades to a higher class room and was told only if i paid for a higher tier membership could i be guaranteed a room upgrade. 17 May 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent room Great room, excellent service. Big disappointment that the pool was being renovated. Swimming pool is essential in the hot and humid Jakarta. Having only one pedestrian entrance also a negative point. We had to walk around from CityWalk Mall. Eighteen $ for internet is too expensive, for Platinum member, it should be free. Otherwise, the location of the hotel is great. It's very clean with smiling faces everywhere. 15 May 2013

Only negative is the location does not offer much if you intend to walk to other restaurants or sites. But it was convenient to embassy's and some corp offices. 29 April 2013

My wife prefers i stay in an SPG property because of the great loyalty plan they have (easy to redeem points) compared to Priority Club (even though i am an Ambassador). In spite of that, i have made Jakarta Intercontinental (mid-plaza) my home away from home. Nice clean and comfortable rooms, better quality of food, and especially the litte extras done by the staff to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I have made this my default hotel from now on. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Another Disappointing Stay Have now stayed here on numerous occasions but doubt I'll be back to this property. As an RA, I've come to expect certain levels of service when staying at any IC around the world. Here, it's a joke and the GM clearly doesn't care and/or take this seriously. Poorly trained staff that are difficult to communicate with. No information provided at check-in on lounge or RA privileges. Very poor selection of alcoholic beverages in mini-bar. The evening turn down service was inconsistent at best and when undertaken, pretty much involved a change of towels only. I requested a quiet room and instead was given one next to the elevators....thanks IC Jakarta, you really know how to treat your top 1%. 30 March 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Less services, higher bill It's almost 5 years that I stay at Intercontinental hotel each time I go to Jakarta. I always take a club room. Recently, the services offered have been greatly reduced (example: before I had 4 pieces/day of laundry for free, now just 1 piece for the entire stay!). Moreover, the pool is closed (under renovation), the Java restaurant is closed (under renovation). Last time, I faced issues with a very low water pressure in the shower. But... the bill is getting more and more expensive. Quality to price ratio is getting worse and worse. For sure, I'm not going to renew my Ambassador card. 12 March 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average! For this trip I was given one of the rooms behind the Club Lounge which have a very nice layout. However it is a bit 'tired' and dated - the phone is from the 90's and the aircon is very old and noisy. On the positive side these rooms are much quieter than the rooms the other side of the lounge and these suffer from noise from the 'old and tired (?) lifts. Also, why don't the rooms have a DVD player in them? They have to especially requested. 09 March 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service but not for tooth paste As usual, Intercontinental Jakarta provides very great services. Although the hotel is quite old, all the services and staff are great. However, I found that the hotel change the tooth paste. Previously the tooth paste was Colgate, which is used in other 5-star hotel. During the visit, I found that the tooth paste used is no-brand tooth paste, and the taste is terrible. This tooth paste is usually used in 3-star hotel. May be this one is small thing for everyone. However, I think that we have to pay attention in all details. 27 February 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good hotel, just ensure to be not bother by marriages noises I have been in this hotel more than 60 nights from july till end of january. The hotel is well located, few minutes from the big malls (Plaza indonesia, Gran Indonesia). Staff is friend and willing always to help. The club lounge must be the best one i have seen so far. From 5.30 till 8.30 pm you can enjoy fishes, meats, salads, cheeses, beer and wine . They have also a live cooking area. This hotel has 2 restaurants, italian and international one. The quality is very good also. The swimming pool is ok (maybe too much chlore) and fitness and spa are clean. Note that they are renovating swimming pool for few monthes (till end of march if not wrong). I have been facing 2 problems in this hotel. If it rains a lot, the road to reach it is flooded and taxi may not be able to go through. They have quite a lot of events, mostly marriages. I was wake up twice by noises in the corridors of guests doing video and pictures. So ensure that in your floor they will be no other rooms booked by such guests. 05 February 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel This is a high class hotel and all that is expected from an IC. Pool was closed and breakfast rest. Under some renovation this was not mentioned prior to reservation and was disappointing. As an Ambassador I was expecting more, I was staying with a few friends and received the same room as they did ( not a real upgrade) apart from this an extra bottle of water but that's it. All in all a great hotel with very high level of service. 26 January 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great stay The Jakarta Midplaza is a more pleasant experience than Manila but the best was still Intercontinental Bangkok so far. I still think that Check - In via Club lounge would be much more better as front desk took quite some time to get me checked in... (15 - 20 mins). 03 December 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by club floor and in dining kitchen So far too busy to visit club floor at the evening, but I was little bit tired and canceled dinner with may related, so I visit club Floor for my first time during stay. I was really impressed to stay at club room after 5 o'clock on Sunday , very relax time was there. After that I spent a time with my friend in my room and enjoyed in room dining, it also very quiet and relax time for me. Thanks all staff for my satisfactinal stay. 18 November 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not the best intercon - no instand check-in, check-out service - I had to change room twice to get the same room I checked out in the morning when I check in on the same day, I wasn't impressed with the service from front desk staff, Hilman as he didn't understand my requirement. - they can't cook eggs as I asked and served a sausage with a hair stuck on it at the club lounge - wall-mount shower could be better. - Staff are not smiley and friendly. - only beer - no wine or whisky 08 November 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service - even after check-out I accidentally forgot my laptop in my room when I checked out. I was at the airport, ready to board my plane to another country, when I realized I had forgotten it. I called the concierge and they retrieved my laptop and worked daily with me via emails to help deliver the laptop to me in another country. The care and consideration from the staff has been beyond compare. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for business travelers and to anyone visiting Jakarta. 18 October 2012
