The basic requirements were excellent. Lovely room, outstanding golf, food excellent and generally what I expect from a 5 star hotel. However, two black marks. TV channels namely sports were abysmal in the rooms. Also no free WiFi in the rooms. Charging guests for room WiFi in this day and age is a nonsense

This is my first visit to this resort but it certainly won't be my last. The whole experience from the layout of the hotel and resort, the quality of the rooms and the attitude of the staff are a credit to Intercontinental.
The golf course and facilities are as good as anywhere I have been previously. I must mention the attitude of the golf course greenkeepers and the marshals, it was first class.
Thanks to all for making our stay both enjoyable and memorable.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 VERY PLEASANT HOLIDAY
We (a group of four lady golfers) have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Aphrodite Hills Hotel. Our only disappointment was that there was not the choice of restaurants offered to us that we had hoped for as the restaurants in the Village Square were not open. Apparently it was either out of season or there was a lack of demand, but this was not made clear to us and we were told these would have been made available to us on our "All Inclusive" package.
We loved the beach bar at the beach.
The staff were generally extremely helpful and efficient, particularly Mary at breakfast.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable with everything you could wish for provided.
The golf was also very well organised.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and hopefully, we will return.

Well this was our third trip to this hotel and although the last one was a few years ago the hotel was amazing. The standard is every bit as good as it always was, the staff from the GM to the club lounge, pool attendants to cleaners were all very helpful, knowledgable and friendly. The resort is fantastic and the facilities perfect, it was quiet but hey it was early May and although one or two restaurants were closed there was plenty to choose from food wise. I would personally like to thank the GM and the club lounge for really making our stay what we wished for...hope to see you soon.

We visited as a couple for a romantic week long holiday and we had an amazing time. From the moment we checked in until we were picked up to return to the airport, nothing was too much trouble.
The resort itself is in a fantastic location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and only 15 minutes from Paphos Airport. We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was a fantastic experience, everything is just that little bit larger, the bathroom and balcony are double sized with plenty of room and comfort.
We dined in a number of the restaurants throughout our stay, of particular note was both Pithari and Zimi where we enjoyed attentive service and smiling faces from the staff and management.
It rained a couple of days but we didn't mind as we indulged in the Retreat Spa and spent time just reading and relaxing. The pool is perfect for sun worshipers with loads of sun loungers available and a fantastic drinks service that means you only really need to move from the lounger to the pool and back again.
Overall we had a truly amazing experience and we have already booked to go back later this year.

recently returned from staying at this Hotel and I can honestly say it was a fantastic holiday from start to finish
the highlight was going to the Italian restaurant and how the staff there treated us. they were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone to stay here and hope to return some day soon!

We have just returned from a fantastic break and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
The club rooms and lounge are superb and the staff always very friendly and helpful.
We would also recommend visiting the riding school - very well kept and transferred by 4x4 car. My children had pony rides which were extremely good value €10 each!
Its such a shame it is proposed to change from an Intercontinental to a Thomson Sensatori resort next year (2015) which may well change things.

We had wonderful Easter-Holidays in Aphrodite Hills in a great room with own little terrace-pool. The Staff was always very kind und we had every evening a perfect dinner-buffet.
The service in the main-restaurant was great, as well the room service!
I would like to come again!

Everything about this hotel is superb. The staff were all friendly, professional and helpful. Beautiful clean surroundings. I would really like to return for another visit (if only for the 7th hole on the golf course!). The golf was really enjoyable and the organisation of all the staff made it so much easier. The only disappointments were that we didn't get our complimentary upgrade until the second week of our stay, though I understand about availability. Also I had, as requested, e-mailed 6 golfing dates and times in advance and received confirmation. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the pro shop these had not been passed on, so we booked 5 rounds on the spot. We then tried to book another one later during our stay but were told that as it should have been booked in advance we would have to pay over 100 euros. Considering that there were 8 rounds included in our package and we only wanted 6, I thought this was a bit harsh, especially as it was an error made by the booking staff in the first place. We felt a bit let down but overall the hotel and the golf course were so enjoyable we would definitely go back for another golf experience.

this visit was a family mini break which included a 2 year old little boy. The accommodation and breakfast was very very good but unfortunately this could not be said of the choice of daytime/evening food available for a family of mixed ages. The only choice was either in a bar type outlet which didn't open until 4pm and served finger type snacks or the basic childrens fare consisting of fish fingers, 'chicken' nuggets# I use the word chicken very loosley#.and chips. Other than this was the main rest aurant which was either a set meal or al carte no indication that a childs meal of any discription was available.
We had the al acarte the first night and was disappointed with the standard of the steaks in the main course. The second night we opted for the set menu this didnt fare any better if anything the sirloin steak could only be discribed as extremley firm. We were most surprised that we were expected to order all four courses at the start of the meal.
The play area that was open had no swings suitable for children under 5years of age and only two slides.

A lot of maintenance going on, staff knowledge wasn't 100%, took a while to check in and we had problems with our all inclusive option.

We stayed on 7th December for one night at the hotel. I was on crutches as I had injured my knee and on arrival at the reception desk the very lovely and helpful lady decided to change our room for us. She explained our room was outside and she thought it would be too difficult for me to manage so she moved us to a room inside the hotel itself. I was very grateful to her and it made our stay much more comfortable and enjoyable. The fact that she did it without us asking and made it seem like it was no trouble at all was fantastic and very much appreciated.

I returned to the IHG at Aphrodite Hills in the October half term with my five young children and wife. We visited in August for 12 wonderful nights - so it was an easy decision to come back.
the hotel is well managed and organised. The food and service is exceptional - all staff deserve a special mention.
We will return in 2014 as my children simply adore the hotel and the area - there is so much to do.

Our visit to Cyprus was short, but the hotel , particularly its location and facilities, was one of the factors that made it memorable. The room was comfortable and the balcony was a plus. The pools were wonderful and the choice of restaurants around the pools was excellent. For lunch, however, the golf club is the winner. Added to this we enjoyed our evening meals in the Leander where the staff were welcoming and efficient. We also appreciated the bar area and were impressed with the entertainment which can so often be 'hit or miss'. Both reception desk and concierge were friendly and their advice and pleasant service were appreciated.

This was our family's second visit to the resort in 2013 and we had another very enjoyable week. The hotel's facilities and catering are generally excellent and the staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. We will almost certainly return next year.
One improvement that I think most guests would welcome would be for the outdoor pool to be heated. It is far too cold and difficult to take the plunge, at least for us older adults!
A big draw of the resort for our family is the fact that there are sports facilities so close at hand, tennis, golf and horse riding in particular. So another improvement would be to fix the hotel tennis court floodlights. It is not really worth trying to play after dark at present as each court has only 50% of the lights working. That was also the case when we visited at Easter and so it was disappointing that the issue had not been remedied.
That said, we used the Annabel Croft tennis centre this time and although the court fees are more expensive, we found the clay courts to be really excellent and would ceratinly use them again.
We also made a lot of use of the spa and found it to be excellent.
The golf course itself is great but needs a more efficient starter system. Sad to say it but kids should not be allowed to play on the course without a handicap. Despite what the pro shop says about the rules in this respect, they clearly do allow kids with no golfing abilities/experience to go out with parents who are also golf novices and it stretches the holiday spirit to have to tolerate such slow play. (My son and I waited 15 minutes to tee off whilst another golfer and his son, who had taken our tee time and wrongly started ahead of us, tried to get down the first fairway. Both took at least 10 shots each. They subsequently let us through but it was not a great start to our round). In fact I played 9 holes 4 times during the week and on 3 of these occasions it took over 2 hours to get round because of the hackers in front. Given that the green fees are not cheap, this was a disappoininting experience.
In general, staff in the resort are delightful. The only unhelpful and unfriendly personalities are to be found behind the til in the golf pro shop! I appreciate that this is beyond the hotel's direct responsibilities but, since the outside sports facilities are an important part of the attraction to the hotel, perhaps you can apply some pressure on the gof club to ensure that there is more of a friendly welcome at the pro shop? The caddy masters were really helpful and friendly in contrast.

Wonderful location, superb weather, good staff and excellent food.
Slightly disappointed with the location of the two villas the rest of the family had. They were at least two miles from the hotel. Villa guests were not allowed breakfast with in the hotel although we were all half board. Also silly petty rules about Villa guests not being able to use the main swimming pool and nO towels, loungers or umbrellas at the beach club even though we all had lunch there. We spent last October here in the hotel and felt the junior suites rather cramped for two parents and two children. This holiday we chose to stay at the hotel again but the other members of our family had two villas. I think it should be made quite clear that the villas have nothing to do with the hotel and are run as a separate company.
