The Fernsehturm, or TV Tower, is right next to Alexanderplatz square in the heart of Berlin. One of Europe’s tallest structures, the iconic, space-age spire was built during the 1960s and is still a centre for broadcasting. If you ride the express lift to the observation deck, bar and rotating restaurant, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views over the city.

What's New

Just down the street from the hotel, the LEGO® Store Berlin is a colourful home for a well-loved brand. Whether you’re visiting the city on business and looking for something to take home to the kids or sightseeing with family, it’s definitely worth stopping in for a look around. A bit of nostalgia is also ideal for breaking up a long day of meetings.

Tips

Available at hotel reception, the Berlin WelcomeCard gives you discounted or even complimentary entry to many major Berlin attractions. You’ll save money and jump the queue as you admire the view from the TV Tower, explore Museum Island or spot gorillas and giant pandas at Berlin Zoo. It includes one-day use of the hop-on hop-off tourist bus and free use of the city’s public transport system.

Must Do

You’ll find the best shopping in Berlin right outside our front door. Kaufhaus des Westens, KaDeWe to its friends, is the city’s most famous department store. The venerable shopping centre was founded in 1907, and like London's Harrods attracts tourists as well as shoppers. Upstairs, dining options include a winter garden with a striking glass ceiling and views of Wittenbergplatz square.

Don't Go Home Without

The 18th-century Brandenburg Gate is a splendid example of neoclassical design and a symbol of unity for the German people. It’s easily reached by U-Bahn from the hotel or via an invigorating walk across the Tiergarten. While you’re there, survey the city from the roof of the nearby Reichstag parliament building and admire the grand architecture along the magnificent Unter den Linden boulevard.
