Must Do

Why don't you enjoy a "Yatai" food stand in Nakasu? Fukuoka's open air food stands, Yatai, are possibly the city's best known symbol. Yatai can generally seat about seven or eight people and provide an atmospheric, outdoor environment to enjoy various foods that are generally simple and filling. The best place to find them is Nakasu, along the river.

Don't Go Home Without

Don't go home without feasting on Fukuoka Tonkotsu Ramen Noodles in the lively outdoor ambience of a Nakasu food stall, a 10-minutes walk away. Melted pork bone marrow is the base for the distinctive, rich broth. Other signature dishes are hot pot, grilled chicken skewers and Motsunabe.
