Must See

The two outlying islands of Taipa and Coloane, connected to the Macau Peninsula by three bridges feature tranquil natural and beach sceneries and are good choice for a short break away from the bustling Peninsula. The city's Jockey Club's horse racing attracts tourists, Hac Sa Beach and Cheoc Van Beach are two breathtaking natural scenic areas with the best seaside bathing places.

Standing in front of the hotel is the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, newly opened in 2018. Guests can enjoy the picturesque bridge view from the hotel and can quickly access the immigration and luggage handling to both HZMB Bridge and the Macau Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal, Gongbei (Zhuhai) Border, as well as QingMao Border.

Tips

Having distinctive dry and wet seasons, Macau's weather is generally warm and foggy in spring, hot and rainy in summer, cool and clear in autumn, and cold but sunny in winter. The average annual temperature is about 20 C and the highest temperature is over 30 C. April to October is the rainy season. Autumn and winter, especially mid-October to December, are recommended as the best visit times.

A-Ma Temple

Macau's name is derived from A-Ma-Gau or Place of A-Ma. This temple is distinguished by beautiful tiled roofs and spectacular views from the upper gardens. The festival of A-Ma takes place on the 23rd day of the 3rd moon (Apr or May).Firecrackers, to scare away evil spirits, are exploded in the entrance courtyard to greet tour groups and lions dances are performed here on weekends.

The Ruins of St. Paul's

The Ruins of St. Paul's stands adjacent to the famous Mount Fortress and Macau Museum. Completed in 1637, the church became the biggest Catholic Church in East Asia at that time. The front façade and the grand stone stairs are the only remains of the greatest church. The surviving façade has long been acknowledged as a perfect fusion of western and eastern cultures.
