I arrived late at night, and asked for a discounted rate. The desk clerk mentioned breakfast in the morning, she said it was going to be a buffet, but it wasn't, it was sit down and order. The room was clean, but the sheets and blankets on the bed were old, scratchy, pilled, and substandard. Breakfast for discounted rate was NOT included, which surprised an annoyed me, I saved only $15 by asking for discounted government rate. I felt like they were nit-picking at the fees and details, much like flying nowadays, and I wasn't expecting it and am very disappointed by it.
I stayed in 4 different hotels of similar cost, value, and advertised quality over the past 2 weeks and I would rate it as 3rd out of 4, definitely below average.

Other than the call after working all night because of mistakes made at checking in I have no problems. I think better training for desk staff would go far to improve my stay.

The quality of this hotel was a surprise. It felt like a higher priced hotel due to the recent renovations. I would highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express to anyone staying in the Cleveland area!

great breakfast in room service...easy to get to the pool...traveled with daughter and grandson...appreciated adjoining rooms.

was charged for the complimentary breakfast on my credit card after i checked out... took several calls to straighten out and never received a call back from manager after several requests or any restitution aside from the $11 refund
