In the summer of 2012, two Virginia Tech alumni purchased First & Main with a vision of creating a unique shopping, entertainment, living, and dining experience that local residents, regional visitors, and Virginia Tech alumni could enjoy for generations. Cascades Falls Trail is a scenic 4‑mile out‑and‑back hike leading to the stunning 66‑foot Cascades Falls in Pembroke. The trail winds through Jefferson National Forest along Little Stony Creek, offering rocky paths, bridges, and lush forest views. Known as one of Virginia’s top waterfall hikes, it provides a rewarding, moderately challenging experience for outdoor enthusiasts.
